Yeah that sticky album was dope, fredro shit was too, don’t really remember anything from those albums tho except there good. I remember the concept of sticky’s album was the whole album was a story & each song was a different chapter or something like that. Remember when they tried to make a comeback in like 02′? I guess all the bitch roles sticky & fredro played made them not relevant to the average listener

The 40/40 needs a new interior designer (none); G Rap needs a new graphic designer; but fuck it, from knowledge to born.
Al Sharpton needs to have a fucking modicum of dignity.
There was a concerted effort to keep Cannibus from taking the emcee throne. He should have put his pride on the back burner and came out on Def Jam with the Todd Smith cosign and the FIRM connection. . .waited patiently; gathered strength; then crushed all them niggas.
Sticky and Fredo had been on that movie and sitcom cake.

Seriously, I like Canibus and all, but when I think of my favorite emcees, he barely makes the cut, which is a shame, because he has the talent to be an upper echelon type emcee- I think Lanski was right, earlier, when he said duke fell victim to label politics…remember when Clef made him wear that metallic paint in the “Gone Til November” video, then when they fell out, he turned around and called him “Tin Man”? Funny, but foul, lol…

>>>>Since were on the topic of fallen’ rappers, what ever happened to Mr.Cheeks?… I blaming industry politics on his demise smh
^Can’t blame politics, his name alone is reason enough to push his album back farther then plies hairline, J/K. On the real, sometimes it’s just you’re time to fade from the limelight, can’t no A&R or big label can save you i.e LL cool J, Cheeks had a very good career tho, started off with the lost boys, made 3 albums I think, dropped a hip hop classic “renee” a rare few artist drop a timeless rap song, went solo, did the jumpoff with lil kim which was 1 of the hottest songs that year, then he did “lights camera action” which still get spins now & then in clubs. He was out for atleast 11 years, that’s like 7 rap careers combined. He would only hurt his legacy by tryna make a comeback on some pop shit & that’s the only way he will get noticed, & if he comes back on some underground shit only nahggers & other internet heads will know about it.

Even tho i’m not a fan of Go-Go, I can only imagine how they act when that shit comes on, just like baltimore & club music, you would never really get the full experience unless you either are a fan or grew up on it. Now that i’m grown, I hate club music with a passion, back when I was a teen, club music was that crack. the 2pac club mix & DMX club mix was my all time favorite, can’t forget ODB one too, SMH @ self,
^Agreed. I don’t know why, but last night I thinkin’ about how underground and club music used to be. Like yourself, I despise that shit now (smh @ fuckin’ Spongebob). But remember the classic old joints?
“roll that shit, light that shit… smoke it smoke it smoke it”
“Cherry Hill pull your guns out (POW!) E-A pull your guns out (POW!)…”
“E-A E-A… wuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”
“I’ll beat dat bitch with a bat”
“put your hands up… put your hands up high… put your hands up…”
Damn, shit used to be decent. And co-pilot on the 2pac and X joints. While we’re on that subject, look what eskay dug up:

Yeah, our flicks are pretty good. They tried to make a TV show out of Lock, Stock and it was so bad, they pulled it. It was really cheap looking.
I think the problem lies in advertising revenue. Maybe there aren’t enough Queen’s Heads in TV advertising to justify spending big money on a TV show. Plus, a lot of your best shows are on HBO, so somebody is paying.
Ike, you ever see the flick ‘Sexy Beast’? (nah). It’s basically Ben Kingsley as a scary-but-skinny Superthug. Also, not a gangster flick but more of a super-realistic vision of life on the estates in London, ‘Nil By Mouth’ directed by Gary Oldman is actually pure evil. Wasn’t on no corny “I get the girl at the end” type shit. That’s one thing I can say is that LL pretty much cornered the market for hip hop love songs, hence the moniker “LL”.

“You know, Bob, I’ve been thinking about all the times that you’ve manipulated me and toyed with me, and, well, I can’t help but recall that children’s fable about the race between the tortoise and the pain-in-the-ass chief of medicine that everybody hates. You see, Bob, the pain-in-the-ass chief of medicine that everybody hates kept running out in front of the tortoise and taunting him; but right at the end — gosh, I’m sure you remember what happened, Bob — the tortoise bit clean-through the chief of medicine’s calf muscle, dragged him to the ground, where he and all the other turtles devoured him alive, right there on the racetrack. It’s a…disturbing children’s book, Bob, I know, but it’s one that stuck with me, nonetheless”

^Yeah that album is heat rock. “Confront ya babe†is my shit for some strange reason. Max B is about to fall in the “Call me if you need a hot hook†catagory along with nate dogg, akon & T-pain
^Co-pilot on Max B. Which album did that PR, Jim, and Max B song end up on? His hook on Styles album is official too.

Ra was born in ‘69 and “Eric B. Is President” dropped in the fall of ‘86. He was 17. another fun fact Shan and the juice crew was dissin’ him because of his laid back rhyme style. For the most part, Juice crew lost on that. LP “ghost” produced much of EB&R’s music.
