    haha Rae talks bullshit….He said the business fucks up the crativity, …..That´s right, but, he only talks about the business side. To me sounds ,calling RZA a Hip Hop Hippie, that RZA is crative and Rae is stuck in his onedimensional rap world. Why his aftermaht album is not dropping? I think they deliver the beats he wants obviously for the Wu….I think it´s because he rhymes the same bullshit over and over again, there is nothing that people are not expecting …. The only one who had big records in the last years was RZa… so i think that he knows a lot more about what´s hot or not than rae!!!!! I think the new Wu album is a hot record even if it comes out as Instrumental LP ;-)

    Interestingly enough, Outside of Cuban Links Rae has never put out a decent solo CD, period.

    And outside of Ghostface*, you can more or less see what happen to the direction of the clan’s solo recording careers. Method Man has more or less become a bitter old school mc taking shots at the industry, including (understandably) BET. Instead of carving their own niche within a fragmented and failing music industry the members careers appear to be stifled and dictated by the whims, rules and regulation of the snail-mail music business. However the same person that they Raekwon claims to be a hip-hop hippy has numerous successful ventures outside of the hip hop music. *I did like Masta Killa’s solo efforts, well some of the songs.

    If one of his arguments is about bringing it back to that 95-Wu sound, I wonder why he didn’t follow his own advice with his 2 previous solo efforts. Note, Ghost 2nd CD was largely produced by Rza.

    As far as Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang. That sounds hot and all, but judging from the clan’s recent history . . . talk is talk. Ghost new solo CD is coming out a month prior to 8 Diagrams. In the span of the next 6 months, getting the clan minue -Rza to fully support and *tour a Shaolin vs Wu-Tang project doesn’t seem likely. Are they going to put it out through Loud? Or be smart and use Koch or maybe release it themselves creatively through some online venture. *There best bet to really make money off that project is to tour, just aske Black Thought of the Roots.

    After hearing “Gently Weeps”, I was skeptical. Although Rae & Ghost spit nice verses the Beatles interpolation just didn’t knock. I figured it’s only one song, Rza wants some crossover ca$h. After hearing Rae tell it how it really is I feel 8 Diagrams is doomed. I love WU but I just crossed that release date off my calender. Now I want to hear the Clan minus Rza album. Steve Rifkin need to put that out ASAP!

    TROUBLE IN SHAOLIN!!!!!! I think this is the end of the Wu; these are not young, hungry, dudes living in the projects of Stapleton and Park Hill anymore. In the final analysis this is a gut check for the Clan, business is business…all the history in the world can’t pay a brothers bills or put food on the table. Great interview though, I respect the way Rae handled the questions, no bullshittin’, just honest, raw answers.
