YN recently spoke to Just about Ignorant Shit, which is easily one of the most storied "unreleased" tracks in the history of hip-hop (blogging).
We just went to the bathroom, pause, and hung up some blankets from the hotel and we just did it straight like that. A lot of times when an artist is first starting an album they don’t want keep the earlier records ‘cause they still trying to get in their zone. So you know, it kinda just sat for a long time and then the dude that was kinda part of the extended family got tricked into giving it away. Demarco tricked him and he gave him the record and it leaked obviously. I was super mad at the time, just more so of the circumstances and because of what it could have been used for later.
The weekend after I heard the AG album, I had this sudden urge to hear the original version repeatedly and at high volume. So, I threw the closest thing we have to a No DJ of the original on a Cd and played it until I couldn’t stand it anymore.
As I was driving around, I came to the conclusion that, Jay = GOAT.

I see movies for free, I don’t drink often, I don’t smoke or do any kinda drugs.. My vices are DVDs, Books, CDs, and Food. So the $10 that could go to something else does go to my “something else”.
Besides, I only cop from a pool of maybe 10-12 musical acts, and they never all drop in the same year, so My CD budget per year is like 3 tanks of gas.

^^To be honest, I prefer the Grey Album version of Allure more, way more bounce. I made a friend who’s new to Jay-Z a mix and I had to throw that on there. Co-sign smacking Pharrell around though, even though he can make some nice beats, he needs like 4 black eyes.

@ Phuque– No, I hear you.. We’ve had the noise vs music argument before. I just didn’t care for Allure.
and Jay-Z doesn’t need my money, but dude will never live to spend my $10.. It’d be like Scrooge McDuck spending a penny at the bottom of the Money Bin.
Besides, I prefer listening to music in my headphones and zoning out, and sitting at the computer is too many distractions between AIM, Mi Espacio, NR, IATS, etc.. I’ll never give it the proper attention at the computer.
Also, I don’t wanna download the album and only be able to listen to it on here. I don’t wanna have to burn it to a CD just to carry it around. I enjoy going to Best Buy and copping the CD and reading the liner notes and everything else…
