^Please don’t remind me about Belly Ring… yo, I remember when I first copped that album. I’m listening to the joint and he’s bodyin’ track after track… then the joint with Nas and Quan comes on (which is pretty good, for those who haven’t heard it)… and even the love song with Mario is good (which I think he’s cool with). Then this atrocity of a song… Belly Ring. Killed the whole vibe of the album. It was only a strong 7 outta 10 without it. That song dropped it down to a 6.5

twain- i read it last night. was a good read. i can see that the movie is going to be NOTHING like the book though, aside from maybe a very basic premise.
Billz- chillin. gotta make a presentation about how to put press kits together be your own pr manager for a seminar i was asked to speak on for later. SMH at agreeing to do this sht as favors still. ah well, karma points.
As for the movie– it was more of Russel Crowes’ character than i would have liked, it was less american gangster (the frank lucas story) than Cops & Robbers. the first half was kind of slow, IMO.

^Goodfellas was just a general Mafia flick. AG was based on a true story. You can only make it be so “gangsta” because you have to stick to the actual bio. If not, then it’s gonna be critics that actually KNOW about the story of Frank Lucas that would be highly disappointed. I think it stayed true to the bio and that everybody did a hell of a job. I never thought I’d see Russell Crow playin’ a Jerz cop.

There was a hell of a lot of time spent on russell crowes character’s background and pesonal life and less on Frank Lucas, which made ot kind of drag a bit IMO. i was intersted in the frank lucas story, not the cop from jerz’ story

^It felt weird growin’ up in Cherry Hill because I was one of the only dudes (besides my youngan) who grew up with both parents in the household. Everybody out there know my pops and always looked out for me on the streets because he’s a good dude. It was until I moved to Northwood (area by Morgan State) is when I met 2 or 3 ninjas who come from 2-parent households. But, being that Northwood is not as urban as the rest of the city, I still don’t rock with them like that because they act like some snobs sometimes, ungrateful as hell, and I can tell they aint really been through shit. You learn a lot about niggas’ characters when some shit go down (long story).

Everything u said on Royce and Cassidy in the last post is true. I mean we all know Cassidy can be a beast on the mic (even though I think his voice is annoying as fuck!) he ain’t really battled anyone other than Freeway (n amongst battle rappers dat ain’t sayin’ much).
I guess I just expected more outta Royce considering he used 2 roll wid Eminem n da rest of D12 b4 dey became famous, but we don’t know ANYONE either of these ninjas have battled. Dats y some of these peeps out there dat claim 2 be battle rappers n ‘comin up hard’ r just suspect.
All in all, 4 me, I think Canibus is the illest aggressive lyricist of all time n it would be interesting if he would do another diss track
