WHat are you talking on about? Well Nas’s album hasn’t come out yet, and since his prior album HHID was better than KC I wouldn’t call it a longshot to say Nigger might rejuvenite the lyricism Nas is known for and be on par with this album.

And as for this album, I hope your not trying to say its superior to everything in Nas’s catalog, I mean this album isn’t on Stillmatics level, let alone anything close to Illmatic. Like I said I’d rank this album right under BP 1 in terms of Jay albums.

……see i can agee with a case to be made for illmatic and it was written but honestly real talk, i and everyone i know ( including nas stans ) listen to bp black album and bp2 waaaay more than they listen to illmatic….i know people who swear up and down illmatic is their favorite album in real talk they never listen to it…..if you ask me for my favorite album i will think about it and try and figure out the corrrect answer, but thats not how you really figure it out, you really figure it out by which albums you choose to listen to the most and in all honesty i havent had a desire to listen to illmatic since i was a teenager, it was written was always a better album imo i could listen to affirmative action everyday for the rest of my life and be happy about it…

so really i’m just being real with you when i say this, i could put illmtic up there just cause everyone else does ( and while i’m not trying to say it was a bad album it was a great album no doubt but i have next to no interest in listening to it now a days, but i still find myself craving bp black album and bp2……so that in turn make me realize that I think jay’s catalog is much much deeper…again i haven’t even brought RD up…..

I don’t know how anyone could even begin to make a case for Jay over Nas, when Reasonable Doubt, as good as it is, gets shit on by Illmatic, when It Was Written shits on Volume 1, when Volume 2, as popular as it was, is garbage from start to finish w/the exception of Hard Knock Life and Reservoir Dogs - oh, and the Bleek intro, when the only thing that Blueprint has on Stillmatic is its beats, lyrically it can’t hold a handle to Stillmatic…… what could the case for Jay possibly be? That Beyonce >> Kelis?

Honestly, the only time Jay has showed the kind of lyricism that Nas has in almost every song, besides on Reasonable Doubt, was the Dynasty Intro. If he rapped like that all the time, you could compare the twoâ€¦ but he hardly ever does, so you really canâ€™t.

^^It’s a concept album. Jay never fell from grace, but Fallin’ is still a great track. Roc Boys (and I imagine Party Life) are the celebratory songs, but by the end of the album he’s supposed to have lost like Frank Lucas. As for Nas, he’s always a grumpy old man, you’d think that Kelis pussy would cheer him up some.

American Gangster and Rhymefest - two things that suck a whole lot. The only parts of Rhymefest’s album I liked were Kanye’s verse on Brand New and ODB’s hook on Build Me Up. Kinda like how the only good parts of AG are Nas’s verse on Success and Jay’s pre-falloff verses on Ignorant Shit… and Beans’s, I assume, I’ve yet to hear it but he’s always good.
