    You don’t even believe that

Actually I was listening to the song earlier, thinking “damn Jay got murked again, and Nas hadn’t lost it”

I was going to make a post on it, but I found it irrelevant as I didn’t want to dampen the spirit of the leak of AG or detract from it.

I figured “hey jays got a great album, its his time” Thats why I didn’t even mention Nas.

But since you brought it up, I can only assume you noticed Jay getting murked again and tried to flip it quick.

  11. pova Says:

Yeah he got nas on that track. I tried not to listen to the leak but damn i couldnt wait. That shit fire. The best there is hands down.

… he needs more Salaam Remi …

  15. S.S.BlockBurner Says:

    *daps eskay& paper*

yo es really, nas aint top 5??

  16. Paperstacker Says:

Nas murked him on Black Republican. But you guys are honestly going to deny that Nas spit a hot verse on Success?

“Old cribs I sold, y’all drive by like monuments,
google earth Nas, I got flats in other continents”

    That was a nice line.

Jay did his thing on Success though, I heard a hint of that old jay flow on that song in the beginning when he was like “what do i think of success,………etc”

Actually the whole song is vintage.

  17. Paperstacker Says:

you’re pathetic. Scarlett got murked again.

    ^^^^^^^^^
    haaaaaaaaaa

Ok lets say its tied now.

Nas got him on Black Republicans

And Jay got him on this, though not by the same margin nas got him on BR.

If you can agree with that maybe I won’t view you as some crazed Jay stan.

  18. Game Over Says:

Jay murked Nas on Success. It’s as established as a law of physics.

    Yeah he did.

But Nas murkked jay on Black republicans

  21. landLORD Says:

… Nas and Jay on Black Republicans was too close too call … they both won on that joint …

    That was a nice line.

    ^ ^

it was a nice line. jay will sample it and make it a hot song. LOL.

seriously, nas did have a few nice lines, but his flow was crazily awkward on that beat. sounds like jay waited till nas was wild drunk to record. maybe he paid jungle to slip him a mickey? LOL. i think nas’ flow has been slipping for years now, but people give him a pass b/c he has strong lyrics and a dope voice.

  24. S.S.BlockBurner Says:

But we go on bout Success forever….but i wouldve much more perferred t.i. on the title track than lil wayne on sum bk shit!! Speaking of which i really hope tip gotta stu in his the crib…yall prolly dont remember but that nigga went ape shit last time he came home from jail!!

  25. Paperstacker Says:

Nas verse on “where yall at” which came out right before HHID has been one of his best verses in years. Thats as close to vintage nas flow and lyricism that he’s been since stillmatic.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

lol, yeah it was, I’ll be the first to admit Nas flow hasn’t been the same since like his 3rd album. His flow in Illmatic was impecabble, then it just kepts declining album after album after that. But lyrics have always been strong.

  27. Paperstacker Says:

I’m still like on the intro of AG, Ive repeated that shit like 20x, the beat is fire.

  28. DexSTAR Says:

TRAFFIC . YOU AINT GETTING PAST IT ITS DRASTIC. THEY GOT YOU LIKE YOU LIVING IN A CASKET. POLICE ON THE BLOCK ITS TIME I STASH IT.

DAMN. at least his not in a box anymore.

ps. y’all should check out the Traffic music video on the myspace of eightSeven

I dedicate it to T.I himself !! and everybody else going through the system.

  29. pockets Says:

^im not up to it yet esko im only up to hello bklyn (dissappointing)

  30. pockets Says:

nas edged out jay on black republicans but i would so glad they both brought the heat…that was monumental, thats how i expected a jay/wayne collabo, that hello bklyn shit was dissappointed. ud think they would both try to bring it, guess it shows wat jay thinks of wayne. yo i think im on to something here…

  51. G7 Says:

one of the highlights of Jays first verse on Success were some Eminem lines. Also, why didn’t he give Nas a second verse? Fear maybe? Regardless, they both killed the track.

No way on God’s green Earth did Jay murk Nas on “Success”. You hear Nas for literally less than a minute on this track and he still destroys that shit. Jay’s verse to me is just another “I’m Richer Beyond Belief Rich And My FICO Score Is Bananas” type verse…nothing special, tight but nothing special.

On another note I was at the VH1 taping Wed’ night and I think he should think about releasing albums w/ live music production b/c that band was KILLING IT! Anyone goto the 40/40 for the shooting last night?

  93. romar2 Says:

Nas murked Jay. Jay tried to set him up by putting him on a song called Success, cause Jay is 9 figures and running compared to somewhere between high 6s and low, low 8s for Nas.

But Nas stepped right into it and murdered him on his own shit, throwing a nice little shot at Hova: Worst enemies wanna be best friends, best friends wanna be enemies because thats whats in.
