I love it. MTV News caught up with the Little Homey and spoke with him about his proposed album title. He explained in the most detail I’ve heard yet what exactly he hopes to accomplish by naming his album "Nigger." He also takes the opportunity to speak on the knee jerk condemnation he’s gotten from our so called black leaders.
"I’m talking to the streets. Stay out of our business. You ain’t got no business worrying about what the word ‘nigger’ is or acting like you know what my album is about without talking to me. Whether you in the NAACP or you Jesse Jackson. I respect all of them … I just want them to know: Never fall victim to Fox. Never fall victim to the sh– they do. What they do is try to hurry up and get you on the phone and try to get you to talk about something you might not know about yet.

Yes! What he said! In my opinion the disconnect between my generation and my father’s will never allow us to see eye to eye on subjects such as these. Nasir is so on point when he says that Jesse and company are betraying him, and us, by assuming that a rap album with that title can only contain negativity.

From this picture and basically everytime Nas performs or speaks I have formed a diagnosis that Nasir suffers from Swagger Immuno Deficiency. SID is a common disease where the carriers immune system rejects any volume of Swagger and is unable to retain Swagger within the body, therfore patients are born severly swaggerless.
Sadly this disease is uncurable at this point. I am however working on a swagger transplant that could help patients like the little homie. If only I could take a swagger sample from Jay Z and formulate a way to mass produce it. But for now Nas remains virtually swagerless and therfore laaaammmme. My condolances to all sufferers of this disease.

All you guys gota do is take it back to a few weeks ago where Nas was talking about Richard Pryor putting a positive spin on the word ‘nigga’ after so many years of it being seen as a racial slur. He was actually ecstatic about the shit like he just had an epiphany at that exact moment, “God bless Richard Pryor!”
I knew straight away soon as I heard the title that Nas is only doing a similar thing to what Richard Pryor did back then, continuing his good work if you will. This album will be a positive one, and as for the outrage - people need to think before they speak, and again Nas is on point with the MTV interview.

Cosig Biddillz. My thing is, there is nothing I detest more than a Black person being in prison. Well, maybe a Black person in prison because of bonehead shit they did. I don’t want that dude in jail the same way I don’t want Craig in Flatbush, or Larry in Watts, or Will on Bankhead going to prison. Yea, it’s cool to find positivity in contemporary black men, but c’mon: Nas is no Dick Gregory…The civil rights movement, as unsucessful as it may have been, yielded leaders who adhered to a cohesive philosophy. Nas’ contradictory messages shouldn’t be blindly lauded, they deserve criticism/skepticism too. If smart black people had done this with Sharpton, Jese Jackson-they wouldn’t come off as blabbering old men-vacuous, irrelevant and disingenuous-at least not the same way they do today. Eskay, you’re bling acceptance is basically setting up a legacy that will always keep generations of black folks divided.

Kudos to Nas. The man is a genius. Not only has Dick Gregory wrote a book with the word “ni**er” as the title, but also Randall Kennedy. Randall Kennedy wrote a book entitled, “Ni**er: The Strange Career Of A Troublesome Word”. And I think that Nas is trying to take the same approach as both Dick Gregory and Randall Kennedy.
