    the below quote i just took from another blog and this as to be one of the most on point comment i read in a long time.and you haters are almost like the jews who crucified jesus christ and read this to see why i said it.
    ” 50′S SOUNDSCAN LOSS TO KANYE CAN MEAN THE END OF THE STREET HIP HOP (at least its commercial success). 50 and YE are two different genres within hip-hop. When Jay/Rockafella put their guy (Kanye) against 50 on 9/11, it was the match-up between STREET HIP-HOP vs. Kanye’s hip-“pop.” But for the price of bragging rights, they’ve done more damage than good. They are giving the White buying public and White execs an alternative to gritty Blackfolk street music.

    Whether or not you’re a 50 CENT fan, the fact remains that he has been the most visible and successful artist that represents STREET hip-hop (real hip-hop) for the past few years. Most likely, your favorite rappers (Jay, Nas, D-Block, Game, etc) all fall into that category. With KANYE’s triumph, the industry will give even less support to street MC’s (look at how badly most are already flopping). Which of your favorite gritty, street MC’s would’ve faired better against Kanye? He even outdid Jay’s first-week sales.

    Hate it or love it, you better HOPE 50 stays successful. He’s street-hop’s best chance at continued success in the mainstream. THINK ABOUT IT.”

    I feel ur pain (||), but even with those wack rappers gone, it’s not going to make talib and the crew blow up… They don’t need to blow up.. I hope and pray hip hop goes back to the mid 80’s era when sales were not even a thought, it was all about the LOVE of the music…

    50 puts out just as much pop/r&b oriented singles as Kanye…

    Ayo Tech, Follow My Lead, Amusement Park are anything but STREET. 50 still makes decent music, but majority of it is half-ass…no disfigured person. Kanye’s a bitch, but at least he puts effort into his music.

    The only thing I take issue with is “street” Hip-Hop being referred to as “real” Hip-Hop. The Writer of that statement is making the fundamental mistake many writers make when refering to hip-Hop MUSIC. I’m not sure if the Hip-Hop community has any more bandwidth to deal with the almost cartoonish images many of today’s Hip-Hop popular music portrays. To paraphase Jeru Tha Damaja: “When the pendulum swings in one direction, it inevitably swings in the opposite direction.” These record companies are pushing the “Jigaboo/hypersexed/violent /semi-literate” Negro over the thoughtful, intelligent, complex M.C.’s that many of us appreciate. I think we are speaking up in the language of the corporations. with our hard earned dollars. So if “street” Hip-Hop is sacrificed, so be it. It would be better if these artists just stepped there game up.

    the industry has the average fan brainwashed and now the average fan doesn’t want to think while they’re listening to music anymore. as long as that trend continues, MC’s like Mos, Talib and Pharoahe will never blow up. It’s a shame though cuz those 3 I mentioned had no problem going gold in the late 90’s.

    hello everybody (c) doctor on the simpsons….

    And the abouve argument about street hop is straight bullshit. 50 cent is street? when did this happen? Dude is fucking beyond rich and still wants to make songs about killing other black people. If I want street hop as you call it I go to scarface or someone who actually makes a point to rap about the consequences of living that life. Not some cartoon gangster who brags about being shot like its some type of trophy. And I love GRODT and early 50. But you can’t make Ayo technology and I still kill it just gets to the point of comedy. Thats why I appreciate Kingdom Come as flawed as it is at least he attempted to rap about what he is relating to now instead of his life from fifteen years ago.

  61. G7 Says:

    LF: what do you guys think about Sigel auditioning for the role of Big in that movie? if he wants that role he’s gonna have to put some serious weight on. unless he throws a nutty professor suit on.

    ========================

    I feel that sentiment.. but like Malice said

    “i done been to the top, i done sipped the juice, so with that being said bird crumbs’ll never do”

    People love money. Money is a good thing.. it provide security and allows freshness beyond belief. I like being fresh.. therefore I want money. But it DOESNT mean you gotta sell yourself out…

    I think the early-mid ninties era in hip hop is ideal.. where rappers can go out making money but there’s still a substantial underground essence… and the rappers that WERE making money (like fugees, tribe, wu, etc) were very authentic to the art.

    Battle rappers don’t sell records. Battle rappers eventually take online classes… Battle rappers can’t even sell ringtones… Say what you want about Young Joc but he sold ringtones and make 8m, I don’t know what MIMS sold money wise but I’m sure it was over a millon.. Therefore
