^I agree that Loaded Lux’s skills are more advanced than Mooks. Anybody on here will tell you I’m a Lux stan. Honestly, he reminds me of 50 in his hay-day, but better: different flows, over-the-top metaphors, impbeccable song writing, and can definitely write a hook. His in-house producers are pretty good too. Not to mention he handed Mook his ass on a platter on that “HeadCrack” diss on the Bad Man’s Back mixtape. But Mook is definitely a good overall punchline MC. And being that he’s on Money Ave., it helps to have Ron Browz in your corner. For the record, I still think Serius Jones won that battle just based on his actual facts. But, just like Takeover/Ether, people will still go with Mook for the theatrics and wordplay. Btw, if you aint got it, d/l that Serius Jones’ King Me street album.

Billz but remember the Mook/Serious battle. You mentioned Mook spitting facts even though his punchlines weren’t as good as mook. But I liked how mook switched that around in the 2nd round, I don’t recall the battle that clearly cause it’s been a while but I remember mook was like “yeah I go to college, im (this, that, etc plus some other stuff serious hadn’t had said), now tell these dudes somthing they don’t know about me”. Kind of similar to em in 8 mile.
But regardless they are both great battle rappers, mook seems like he can ride a beat. Lux should have a great deal by now cause he’s innovative, can tell stories and has that punchline ability. I don’t understand, it’s clear if he has a good beat he’ll destroy it, as seen on his latest mixtape. Funny how some talentless non rhyming niggas get deals when their listening value is based on the beats they rap over, while other great rappers like Lux are still unsigned.

^Somebody introduced me to their music earlier this year. I can’t remember which song it was, but it definitely was a banger. The Black Mag joint is crack to me. For one, ninjas in my district (South B’more) was on that bike shit heavy (Patapsco, Cherry Hill, and of course Glen Burnie aka Bike City). So seeing the video AND hearin’ the lyrics was a slice of nostalgia for me. They get the co-sign.

… I’m till going to watch it, looks good to me, I think I have enough knowledge on these things to the point that a movie is not going to sway my opinion or make me think any differently on a subject. I mean any movie like this should be taken with a grain of salt, of course it’s going to be filled with propaganda and biased views meant to be instilled in the ignorant viewer.
Looks like a good action flick if nothing else.

Of course in my humble opinion……chasing after fame/attention is a female trait….. and a symptom of too many black men being raised only by their mothers and having no positive male role model around. But we all know why that happened.

I think thats kinda reaching. Alot of white people are chasing for the same fame and attention. Don’t think fame is a female trait. I think that the average black kid coming up has looked up to these rappers, athletes, etc, so much since these are the people on TV 24/7 and pushed by the media.
The youth has been brainwashed by thinking “hey i can live like this, and all I have to do is play a sport or rap”. It’s just whats out there, business, being a ceo, companies, whatever, is not promoted at anywhere close to the level getting rich of rapping or basketball is promoted in the black community or seen on tv. Plus alot of people have the misconception that to live like a rapper (big house, 10 cars, g4, any fine woman) (1st misconception is that alot of these rappers are even living like that) you have to be a rapper, which isn’t the case, cause you can live like that by being a surgeon, ceo, etc.
