Man I rememeber the first time I heard J5â€¦it was funny, I came in a lil late with them. I was about 18 at the time, senior in h.s., and it was October (2000), and it was Halloween and I was at this chickâ€™s brothers house and he was having a lil costume house party, and I was talkin to the chicks friend, boy was she fine lil smaller than my regular taste nice ass, oh yeah I was sprung on her real talk ha, and she was wearing this lil sexy nurse uniform you know w/ the knee highs and all that, chest puppies poppin out, and I was just talkin mad game (trust me iâ€™ll admit I dont have nearly any game but I was possessed by freakin the ladies man or sumthin that nite), and me and her knew each other for a a year or two and she always had a thing for me but she was with this one knucklehead muhfucka from some other school in another county, but she got all pissed at him on the phone about him not coming and he was suppose to take her home blah blah, but then I came up to her started making jokes and cheering her up and then this song came on that the dj was mixing in and I was like snap wtf is that (it was J5â€™s quality control), and started knodding my head and she like fuck it lets dance, and man she was grinding on me like it was her day job, for real yaâ€™ll def mike from The Wood styleâ€¦after that song and like 10 other songs and we started to get tired dancing, I came up to ole boy and was like ayyyyyy bruh you got to let me know what that song was I need that shit ha, he told me and I bought Quality Control like the next week and been a J5 ever sinceâ€¦and yes no b.s. real talk I drove ole girl home that nightâ€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦

Concerning Dre having ghost producers:

Dre is more than a beat maker who sits at an MPC or studio set up, mashes out some keys, bass and puts drums over it. The thing about Dre’s beats is that they’re so simple in terms of structure, but NOBODY really makes beats like him.

Bringing a keys player and a bass player is producing. He may not be classically trained in instruments, but it’s the musical vision, production, arrangement, and mixing which is part that makes Dre who he is.

So.. i’d just tell Daz and Mel-man to “program them drums, boy!!” and be happy they’re able to be around such a great producer.

Aha shit 40/40 was $$$$$$ but we got a tour of the VIP rooms so that was cool. Never got some hooters wings damit, only coz the buffet in the MGM Grand was heaven with a capital H….. Yeah i did well on the gambling front, won about $700 but lost a fair bit as well…
It was Mexican Independance day whe i was there so you can imagine how busy it was… Btw the women in Vegas are off the chain…
