New Jay-Z Album Info

Ok, so you’ve probably heard rumblings about a new Jay-Z album that’s supposed to be coming 4th quarter. Well, it’s not a rumor. And it’s not going to be called ‘Boss Hova’ or whatever. It’ll be called American Gangster, like that upcoming Clifford, Lonnie, Denzel and Russell flick of the same name.

YN has the rest of the scoop.

Oh, and a new track is coming tomorrow. You already know.

Wow, this washed up old chump is at it again. Well its a great way to make up for all the marketing dollars that went down the drain because of that lackluster shit sandwich he put out last time.

I like Jay But am I the only one who really doesnt want to hear a Jay-z album, I rather have the memories of the past?

Kind of like with MJ. Enough is enough, we can still appreciate your accomplishments but your time is done.

It’s PHYSICALLY impossible for jay to rap like “jigga” I’d rather hear jay aqcuiring more businesses or see him get to be the billy goat then put out another album.

  7. Jakk Crakker Says:

  9. Paperstacker Says:

I mean in this current enviroment you guys do know Jay will put up mediocre numbers. I mean with his return album he had to buy a couple hundred thousand Kingdone Come CD’s in the first week just to be on the safe side and avoid any humiliation. I mean how would it look like for Hov to come out and sell 400,000 first week.

  10. !Ven-Tech? Says:

    The picture is hilarious though…

Nah that’s just jokes, but seriously

It’s an interesting topic…but my money is on Jigga. It would be smart for some other heavyweight rapper to drop on the same day as Hov though, especially after that publicity stunt we all witnessed last week. Hopefully it won’t be another pop artist showdown for a while

Old Hov used to be able to make club joints while maintaining a serious, street tone on the same albums. Big Pimpin, I just wanna love u, H to the Izzo,Do it again, plus countless other banging joints that were fire.

But new hov can’t even get that right. What club joint did he have on KC?

I mean damn, even Ochie Wally was a better banging/club joint than any club joint on KC. Another reason why Nas won.

    break it down

Jigga classic albums- Reasonable Doubt(and no, blueprint was far from classic)

    Nas-illmatic

    Nas bodied him on ether

Hip Hop is Dead> Kingdom Come

Financially…Jay Z>Nas….but who the fuck goes by that? By that logic Nsync>Jay’z

    ^^
    “4 albums in 10 years, nigga I can divide…”

This isn’t really up for debate. Jay gave Nas life when nobody was checkin for Nas. Think about it, before Stillmatic, what was the last Nas joint you liked? Them niggas is cool now anyway. Personally I think:

Black Republican > Jay vs. Nas beef

  112. nation Says:

lemme just make the smartest comment in regards to this before everyone dumbs out:

jay-z is riding the wave of publicity him and Def Jam got from Graduation. at first he makes comments on I Get Money, then he congratulates Kanye, then he congratulates himself and Def Jam then he drops an album not comparing himself to superman but to the black superman, motherfucking Denzel Washington

Nas/Jay-Z talk is irrelevant because Big outshines both of them. Its a fact. If you take what Jay says about appreciating true introspective shit along with real gutter shit along with party shit along with story shit, Biggie wins hands down. Ready To Die has all that and a dime sack. Biggie wins and by default so do I. Back of the net.

Well Illmatic and Stillmatic have great reply value for me, because Nas varies his topics more than Jay Z, I don’t want to hear knowledge all the time, but he does balance his albums. For his story tracks I can go back and listen to them all day since it plays out like a picture. I have like every hov track but to behonest I only go back and listen to blueprint often.

^ Most of NaS’s street stuff comes off as forced. Also Jay doesnt have anything in his catalog as wask as Nastradomus.

  202. Paperstacker Says:

biggie, nas and definitely tupac aside… you fools really think Jay-Z can’t rap? or isn’t better than 99% of people out right now

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Jay is my second favorite rapper, you actually think he’s technically better than Nas? Jay gave me alot of banging tracks that were heavy at the club, in the whip etc. He also does his share of conscious rapping, although very rarely, not that I care. But 85% of the time Hov rapping in 100 different metaphors of how he’s rich, how he got some street named after him etc.

Like I said he’s my second favorite cause of the material and consistancy, but if we wanna talk about skills thats a different story. At the end of the day he’s not goat though.

    ^^^ sorry gov’nor
he is tight , but not the greatest of all time. only two albums you can’t judge that compared to pac or jay or nas. pac made double disc that was a classic so even if that numerous cd’s that came out after his death he still one of the best if not the best. so go drink some tea!!!!!!

    ^^
I’m just going to say “Hell No” and back away from this comment.

I bet Jay won’t outsell Kanye.

Jay-Z stay keep takin’ Nas’ buzzzzzz. Isn’t he suppose to have a new album 4th quarter too?

I love the Black Album. Screw the haters.

Curtis Vs. Kanye > Jay-Z vs. Lil Wayne and I’m out….

Look man, I don’t play no Nas in the whip, I don’t wanna hear no Nas at no club or party, or generally outside. Nas is a poet, dude paints pictures, his albums are more of a personally listening experience. But still skill wise Nas>Hov.

Yeah but only like 3 tracks on Kingdom come had any replay value. To be honest with you, I only go back and listen to that song with John Legend, As well as Beach Chair and Dig a whole. The rest is dissapointing and quite garbage compared to old Hov. Wears out after you thoroughly listen to it too.

Look man I love Best of Both worlds, but Im supposed to be arguing for Nas, so Ill just say that shit was wack.lol, But Dynasty was garbage too.

At the end of the day I love all of both Hovs and Nas’s albums, but its just that lyrically and skill wise Nas>Hov. Its not like you can’t like both of them though, they pretty much bring different things to the table.

na, compared to Jay he is a poet, Jay don’t paint no pictures. Money, Cash, hoes basically summerizes 80% of hovs lyrical content. I still said Hov is in the top 5 dead or alive, but if you don’t like Nas how can you not like Hip Hop?
