2x, money doesn’t equal respect and it certainly doesn’t equal artistic integrity. These are things that I care about, as I’m a music fan. I listen to quality music of all genres, hip hop to opera, classical to classic rock, blues, soul, jazz, punk, whatever. If someone has no artistic integrity, I don’t care how much money they make. Britney Spears was cakin’ (moneywise) long before she was cakin’ (Little Debbiewise), did you respect her too? That’s why I call Curtis the rap Gene Simmons. Very little talent, no integrity, just a soulless money-making machine. That’s why Curt was smilin’ in pictures with Paris Hilton whereas I would be yelling “Get that gutterslut out of here before she sneezes and gives me AIDS”

We (rap fans) captivated the media and the spotlight for something positive for the first time in years and years, and a shitload of people bought records–actually PURCHASED MUSIC, which I know is super rare around these parts..
I’m sure more people came out to Support either 50 or Kanye on this day where they both dropped than if they both had separate release dates.
Rap finally got in the news for something good, with relevant artists. We should at least take off our Bitchy Bonnets and celebrate that fact.

I mean, I’m glad that people are enjoying Kanye’s music as much as I am–no different than running into a fellow Knicks or Mets fan–but I’d rather see the artistry come back.
Honestly, when the sales hit rock bottom, that’s when the true talent is gonna come to the forefront again.. ^^Nah I have’nt seen it. I’m gonna have to ship it in to Australia cos they damn sure won’t have it out here for at least another decade. But yeah I heard that rumour that 40 had dude’s life in his hands and gave ‘em a pass. When you’re in someone else’s hood though what do you expect. Its not like dudes were packin heat after they got on the plane from Brooklyn. I’m sure if 40 was in BK dude coulda got stepped to by Big and the MAFIA if they wanted to.
