    =====================================

Now all we need is an “I Get Money” freestyle, a Crooked I weekly w/e w/e and a NORE post…

  9. SKEEMATICS NYC Says:

I respect his business sense outside of music.. but his creativity within music is lack luster, its weak. I still feel he should not rap. Swiss is feel into this “i need a hit” bullshit and it has not worked, proof has shown with his latest album. My man Talib smoked him with no “pop hit”… Real Hip Hop is on its way back.

i think eskay is jealous of Bleek. He’s been dropping a bunch of songs lately and they never make it to nr lite. If Swizz is talking about rapping then the shit is not even worth listening to. He’s awful. Who’s gassin’ this guy? no texaco.

I’ve seen how he was getting backlash! And then ‘Pac died and he didn’t even get a chance to respond. He just had to take that on the chin.

I was there when Lil Cease brought B.I.G the fucking “Hit ‘Em Up” joint. I seen B.I.G’s reaction, when he first heard the record . When B.I.G first heard that from ‘Pac, B.I.G’s reaction was like “Why is homie doing this? ‘Cause he don’t mean that, this dude was my man.” See, they were friends.

50 was (might still be) on Hot 97 just now talkin’ reckless. No real quotables, just being rowdy. Highly amusing. Ton of 50’s “Big Word” talk.

50 should quit rapping (like, officially–not just in the “Follow My Lead” sense) and just be a manager for the rest of G-Unit’s non-charismatic asses. [||]

Right, and if he’s making money off of it, okay great for him–but I just wonder how many times people can hear the same ol’ ish..

Eminem’s another one.. Kim Song, Haylie song, collabode (think about it) with Dre… 4 albums of that shit? It’s no wonder he hasn’t dropped. All the creativity that man has and he’s made the same shit 4 different times.

To be fair, Mr. Budden does the same thing–but the difference as far as I’m concerned is that I can relate to the kind of frustration (don’t even think about it) he’s experiencing in terms of his life, career, etc..

‘Ye has done a good job cataloguing his experiences and his career and it’s developments, plus his sense of humor shines thru.

Also, I think I’ve got a craving for chinese food.

Ludacris Show Cancelled Due To Lack of Ticket Sales
    Posted: 09/11/2007 by: HHNLive.com

An up-coming Ludacris show in Boston has been cancelled due to lack of ticket sales.

According to the Boston Herald, the concert that was scheduled to be held on September 30, was cancelled by the Eastern States Exposition reportedly due to a lack of interest and poor ticket sales. Exposition president Wayne McCary said fewer than 700 tickets had been sold for the arena that was to hold the performance, an arena that seats 6,100 people.

As a stipulation for the concert, local officials said the rapper would have to keep his act profanity free. The West Springfield licensing commission also ordered that all concert-goers be screened by a hand-held metal detector and that no beer be served in the arena.

Refunds will be issued to those who already bought tickets for the performance.

  99. icon (trillbert arenas) Says:

It looks like ‘Ye is gonna take this.

Def Jam doesn’t need kanye to sell 600,000 units for this album to be a success, cuz they know the Kanye Machine (pause?) works on artistry.

ShadyAftermathTerscopeUnit needs 50 to sell bigtime to keep his whole facade going. If this album tanks, 50 will keep talking shit, but the second he brings up, “This album was unsuccessful, but the massacre and Get Rich… blah blah blah”–the jig (none) is up–cuz then every rapper can say, “Well, I tanked now, but remember back in 2001…”

i’ll do that, i gotta admit i don’t really listen to too many rappers ‘cos I don’t want to poison my “well of creativity”. I decided that when one of my man’s started sounding like Nas from listening to him too much. And he didn’t even notice it either..

i think we can subconsciously imitate what we really admire sometimes

^ everything is derivative. nothing is truly unique or original, all artists have created works inspired by something/one else.

not necessarily. I got into an argument with one of my professors over that too. I happened to have come up with an opinion that Socrates came up with and she thought I had read Socrates and plagiarized. I hadn’t read Socrates at the time, and what I said is simply what made sense to me.

I think originality still exists in that kind of way. But in these days where everyone raps/sings/produces, every note has been played, every word, used and every chord has been played. to some extent

300 bars is probably the best diss song ive ever heard

idk about that, the greatest…, but it was a killer ass diss track.

thats why I listen to them LF dudes like Aesop Rock and MF Doom…speaking of which when the fuck is Swift & Changeable coming out? I need some MF Doom illness.
