Over at Unkut, Robbie has some inside info on the delay of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2.
“The Raekwon album came in done. It’s finished! It’s a finished record. Dre did two records, we were doing the deal, and during the deal the Christmas break came. We took a break for two weeks – came back – Dre acted like we never spoke! I was like ‘Alright, this Raekwon thing…’ and he’s like “Nah, I ain’t fuckin’ with that no more”.

Dre and Aftermath should have dropped the album right away. It’s not like Rae is in his 20′s and is “MTV hot” right now. They knew this. They should have either dropped the album as soon as possible, or told Rae to take the album somewhere else.

The cashier lady at target said that a lot of people came in to get ‘Ye.. My boy works security at that same store.. At about 9:30a he called me to tell me that most people were copping both, and that it was like 3-2 Kanye in terms of people only buying one.
Once again: I’ll be disappointed if EITHER artist sells less than 300K. I won’t be mad if 50 outsells ‘Ye as long as it’s not by more than 50k.
