Video: Blu & Exile - So(ul) Amazing
A bunch of incense chewers have been on the site lately going on and on about how Blu and Exile’s new CD Beyond the Heavens is the best thing since air and how it’s the album of the year.
Well, I don’t know about all that, but I checked it out the other day at their urging and I must say, it’s not bad at all. Lyrics are on point and the production is sufficiently dirty. The homey Blu also has a Show & Prove in the new XXL with Yeezy on the cover.

I like Blu’s album more than Talib’s new one.
As for Lupe, I think dude is a bit overrated. He seems to write rhymes with a smirk on his face, impressed at how clever he is…his swagger exceeds his talent. ‘American Terrorist’ was a nice piece of work though…
but naming your the first single for your second album ’superstar’ after your first album bricked = delusion at its finest

This just confirms to me that rap fans these days are, musically speaking, idiots.
This album is not only the best of the year; its the probably the best of the last decade. Certainly, Lube is not match for Blu, nor is kanye, nor any other well-known MC.
Rap fans these days are an embarrassment to older folks like me who were listening to this stuff before you guys were even born.
Why don’t you invent your own genre instead of messing up this one with your musical illiteracy? Then again, you already did.
