also, pac might not have been the best lyricist, but you cant deny his ability to write memorable lines that really got his point across. why do rappers still quote pac lines to this day? also, there’s not a lot of rappers able to put as much emotion in their delivery as pac did.

that’s crazy though… how old was Nas… like 12 when that happened? lol
>> … Biggie was nice, but also overrated in retrospect …
you’re right but i think i figured it out… any new hip hop fan is pointed towards Biggie or Pac as a starting point for listening… not Nas & Jay cause they’re still around and everyone knows em. So when you just start liking hip hop and while listneing to other shit, you listen to those two dudes who were great, in their era, for rap and in general… but you can’t stay in love with the same bitch forever. if you have a brain you move on, to the next bitch. same with rap, if you start with pac and big, you need to move on to bigger (lol) and better things
there are better rappers than big and pac, no doubt, it’s fine if they’re your favorite, but just because they’re your favorite and you prefer to listen to them doesn’t mean they are the best, and though opinions come into play, you can admit that the lyricism of one cat is better than the next, without hurting anyone’s feelings… at least i hope
big was amazing though, don’t get me wrong. though people say him and Jay had the same style, that’s not true… big just didn’t have enough time to show what he was made of. though those two cds are solid, it’s not enough… there weren’t enough links made in our minds. it was cut short… the Commission woulda been amazing for hip hop… not that Junior Mafia bs that came after and that shattered the image of what big or brooklyn was
Biggie’s raps were crazy, and if they’d leave it for what it is, like Big L or Pun… peopel would know what’s up… but faggot ass Diddy gotta milk every dollar outta that “project” like Suge or some shit… smh, worst part is I know i’m right… Big & Pac’s images have forever been tarnished by those fake businessmen
September 8th, 2007 at 4:42 pm
Pac didn’t have the best wordplay or use the most pollysylabic rhymes but there’s no denying the fact that he was able to speak on topics that all people were able to relate to, which is why his music is still relevant today.
Also dissing Pac for not being real is childish, 99% of hip hop artists have created fake images to sell records.

you’re not seeing my point here. i’m not saying that was the problem, that’s not a bad thing… making people believe that fake image you portray through your raps, that only makes you even more respectable… or admirable nh…
what i’m saying is it used to be about the music… in came Pac with this aggressive image and so-so lyrics and made it alright ot be about your image, 90% image and barely 10% raps… he gave birth to that fake thug shit… he gave birth to motherfuckers like 50 Cent that were almost doing something right until they got rich and stopped trying

no shit b, that’s obvious with the state of the game, but if everytime you have a conversation about who you’re favorite rapper is, and you have to imagine Tupac… shirtless, taking an 8 minute shit holding a notepad writing Hail Mary than you lost… you’re favorites rappers, based on rapping (remember what that is) should be about rapping (which including delivery, charisma, storytelling, voice, beat picking ability)… that doesn’t include the performing arts… that’s your favorite entertainer dog

who were the first ‘gangsta’ rappers… NWA, created and funded by the same minds behind 2Pac’s new image… guided by the same mofo who brought down the building in the 90′s & early 2000′s
Dr. Dre is a tall Israeli’s best friend. NWA, Snoop, Death Row, Eminem, 50 Cent

no doubt… but why do you think they offed him. dude wanted out of that “fame” bullshit. on some Lauryn hill stuff… the guy had completely forgotten who he was, and was confused as shit… that album would emancipate him from that, but Suge merked him before it went any further
first of all, Suge owed him money and was jerking him like Jenna Jameson… second, he was fed up of being an indentured servant to those label heads… but instead they gaged him (also like Jenna Jameson).. they offed him and he died as a martyr and other bullshit when he was actually a black man tryna get his dreams out, but had his dreams deferred and completely changed
that Suge Knight is a motherfucker… he deserves 7 hells
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHqnqRvcKF8
so those label heads killed him, and not only silenced the problem but made many more millions off the guy

co-fucking-sign. Hit Em Up is one of my favorite tracks, but that Thug Life shit was unwarranted… it set the course for millions of motherfuckers to wanna be losers
>> what im saying is, he glorified the negative aspects of the struggle while trying to lead and influence … that was and is, dangerous and self-destructive …
the worst part is that he did that shit, and thought he’d have enough time to save the world from destruction. like okay, i did the moral shit, then i fuckedup society, now i’ll fix it
but he didn’t have the time to. motherfuckers killed him before he had the chance to undo his evildoings… he wasn’t killed because of that though, he was killed because he didn’t wanna be profitable anymore, or he was asking for his money… so the world never got the chance to know that it was wrong
after pac died, no one would ever be familiar with his early or later stuff, they were stuck listneing to what his label would push… and that was that Thug Life garbage… Thug Life = a cry for attention. he made a group attempt to stir up some excitmenet and make an image, when he tried to reverse it… it was too late
for the past decade, it was alright to be a dumb out because fuck, tupac did it, so he musta been right… no, you’re wrong

1. lmfao @ Suge Knight talking about a bullet in his skull when Nick Bloomfield’s like… “dog, you don’t have one”
2. Tupac was smarter than we think. Less smart than a lot of people make him out to be, and for sure not the same reasons… i look at it this way:
the cat knew recording 3 records a day meant more quanity but way less quality, and that was for sure but what kind of rapper in his right mind wants to rap less well… i’ll tell you which kind, a suicidal/aware of his fate knowing motherfucker
Suge Knight is a rowdy motherfucker… he damn near put an entire crew in the hospital for using his phone, you don’t think Pac knew he’d be over when he told Suge he didn’t wanna be a thug anymore. when would tell him he loves to act, and do other fruity grapefruit mangos type shit? you don’t think he was scared senseless of telling Suge that his cash cow wouldn’t fuck with him (nh) anymore and that he’d be back to being a bodyguard for Dr.Dre’s fruity ass
nah… Pac was doing that shit as Afeni’s retirment plan. he know even though no one would like that doo doo rap when he was alive… people would love it if he was dead, and he knew he would be dead any minute now
he made that makaveli shit, put it out… and well… murder Suge wrote

Well at the end of the day Pac is better than 50% of rappers today, and he had alot of nice beats to accompany his often mediocre lyrics.
But hey, if you mofos are gonna sit here and listen to Curtis, TI, Dr. Dre, and whatever other non-backpacking, non cannibus sounding, non lyrical genious rappers then stop complaining. Shit sounds hypocritical. Especially since you critisize Pac for being so non-lyrical but then you’ll listen to Curtis and I never hear these same ninjas complaining about how garbage Curtis lyrics are.
Everyone knows Pac wasn’t that good lyrically, of course Nas and Hov were better than him. No one is questioning that.

Stop lying, you wanna sit there and talk about lyrics being the main point of judging a rapper then you have the audacity of putting Big and Jay before Nas. Aren’t lyrics the same thing yall are saying made Pac garbage.
September 8th, 2007 at 6:03 pm
both Jay-Z and Nas had to become so wack lyrically to put out a club anthem, when hiphop was SO popular…
When BIG did club anthems, he still kept them nice lyrically… and that’s when hiphop was FAR less popular…

Well in my opinion Jay got better club songs than both of them.

^Delusional? Smh @ the fact that you dislike 2pac so much you say people that like & respect his music “delusional” For real you & land really sound like haters, if you don’t like his music, fine K.I.M, but tryna encourage other people to not like his music is far beyond haterville. I already know where land stands, but he gets dragged back in by the love tupac gets on this site, & starts to denounce his greatness, but you nation, smh, you’re like the leader of the hate club, you hate the fact that people like tupac, & that’s crazy, how can you care so much about who someone else like? If you feel pac was wack, cool, i’m not losing any sleep, but to constantly talk down on him is taking things a lil too far.

mama… I made it
ah Joe… it ain’t like that… for the 50th time in two days: do you read my comment or do you just skim through em? you can’t just read what i say when i mention the would “joe” and “88″ so that you read it the next day when you’re snooping for targetable ether…. if you read what i wrote on this post (after saying wayne and pac are trash) you’d see the respect i had for the fucker even though people hype him up to divine status. i assure you, if you take a few minutes to read the 4-5 novels i dropped about his life on here you’ll see why i dislike motherfuckers that are ready to ride our for the wrong Pac. i admit, all the real hip hop heads will say Thug Life was his best album, because Pac was known for going hard and what not and i guess he really abused that shit on that album… but the Pac before and after Death Row is completely diffrent from the Pac during death row.
if you love Pac because he made the soundtrack for you getting drunk on the corner with your friends, than you lost. contrarily, if you used his positive message, than that’s what i can respect. it’s not that i’m a hater or a pac hater or a pac fan hater, because it’s too easy to dismiss people as haters… if you go up and read what i wrote you’ll see
i hate the fact that Tupac changed on his fans, to make more money, and not like jay did, wasn’t a matter of lyrics, he switched lifestyles and was promoting the wrong shit. ill admit he tried to switch it up with the 7 day theory, but he didn’t have time to undo his wrongdoings because he was killed by the same mofos that thought that a tupac enlightening his fans wouldn’t be as profitable as a thug motherfucking Tupac
wtv… go read what i wrote, it’s all in there

I said, “you’z a bitch, & i’m aint! & I wanna whip yo ass”! Now you tell me nigga out here in these woods? Is that unforgivable?
