Although I’m a P.E fan, Chuck D didn’t have the impact of Cube(imo) because Chuck was preaching to the choir; alot of P.E fans were already aware of the things he rapped about whereas Cube meshed gangsta lyrics in his rhymes to get the attention of a more diverse fan base.

P’s ROTM was one the best albums of the year… so don’t say P still doesn’t make good music…
And the only reason people say “blood money” was ass, is because they condintioned to hate it because it’s G-Unit affilaited…. ofcourse Blood Money ain’t like other classic Mobb albums, but it was still a good album…..it wasn’t garbage..

^^^Ill give you influence and impact…actually he aint touching Chuck D with that. But creative i dont know man. His style is very simplistic, which is probably why it hit big mainstream.

Although I’m a P.E fan, Chuck D didn’t have the impact of Cube(imo) because Chuck was preaching to the choir; alot of P.E fans were already aware of the things he rapped about whereas Cube meshed gangsta lyrics in his rhymes to get the attention of a more diverse fan base.
^^^But Ice Cube’s political influence has been done since the 90s…Chuck D is still known as the most political rapper today

I just think the impact of Cubes work with NWA and his first 4 solo albums are still the most influential work to hip hop. I’d rank Chunk D right behind(pause) Cube, because Cube has more albums I like and a better flow.

I don’t think raps going to be a lucrative proffession anymore, in a way it’s gonna be a good thing though because there’ll be less hip pop and more of a focus on quality artistry.
