O’Reilly is such a complete moron, but you gotta love how he uses the “little homey Nas” pronunciation of his name. Bakari Kitwana holds it down though. Godson across the belly.

^Co-sign. I use to think smokey > life, but as I got older it got harder to laugh at the joke more than his voice, like the part when the big girl came threw, I thought that was genius, but after a few views that part wasn’t even funny, except the part he screamed “god damnâ€. Da Da was a overall funny character, the part he was talking bout how he met shorty is a classic, & the part he was explainning why he was scared of baby D to craig was a classic also,

SMH @ this dummy….like Nas is gonna perform “Got Yourself A Gun” at VT…nigga’s prolly gonna do “I Know I Can” or some shit…bet he wouldn’t have a problem if a controversial rock act performed….lol @ “a rapper who trades in violence”…what a homo

…Its almost cool to hate fifty now, alot of people are praying for his downfall. Its a sad state of affairs when your once favorite rapper doesnt fit the bill anymore, but whats worst is that dude is suffering from mental issues. I dont think fif even thought he could get so Large (pause). There has to be a point when what your experiencing is so unbelievable, that it alters the mind and you lose sight of your reality. There is still a great artist that resides in dude (n/h), but he needs to go through this to bring him back down to earth. I almost feel sorry for him.
Who the fuck is this Dr. Somebody nigga? I think that, any time they talk hip hop, Cam’ron should be the guest, just for entertainment value…SMH @ Dr. Somebody saying “Nass”, too…good point for the bodyguard lookin’ nigga…colleges are supposed to be all about free speech…

Also, I checked out the tracks on your boy’s page again and really listened to the lyrics.. Dude’s got some severe talent there.. I didn’t pick up on the fact that he’s telling full on stories in them lil’ clips.

smh, why bill didnt mention Nas also made i know can mode to the upliftment and empowerment of the kids.
***Bill O’Reilly is so one sided and nonobjective, it’s not even funny…any claim to him being a credible journalist would be as ludicrous (sp? damned if I didn’t almost spell it ludacris) as Fox’s continually boasting that it’s “Fair and Balanced”
Mane, fuck bill o reilly mane. I’ve been watching too much hustle & flow
@cOLD
Yep, it safe to say it’s even cooler to hate fiddy than it is to hate ja rule, atleast fiddy gave you a reason to hate Ja, no one is dissing 50 & he’s still the most hated man in music, I also think he can still make solid music, but he’s looked @ differently than your average rapper, making it harder for him to put out quality music. Everything he does now is gonna be looked @ threw a fine microscope because of his early sucess, some people can handle it, some can’t.
@ cMac– No problem.. I don’t usually dig the drugs/guns stuff (not saying that’s all he did, no offense meant) either, but I can get into it if it’s being told in a high-quality kinda way, I appreciate the imagery.. He have a mixtape or something?

I always notice Bill raises his voice to overpower whoever he’s debating with, him & cam are made for each other, those are the only 2 people I seen that can’t calm down & talk like human beings, how can you ask a question & not let the other person respond? & How the fuck is duke gonna answer why nas gotta a gun conviction? He prolly got it around illmatic times, besides many actors have caught gun charges (I think) & there more than welcome to events like these. SMH @ them finding the most violent lyrics NaSS has ever recorded, I was shocked when they played “Shoot em up” they prolly skimmed threw his catalog & seen the title & a light bulb went off

O’reily’s smart enough to know that fucking with hiphop keeps him relevant.
***O’Reilly’s not relevent, he’s just the spokesperson for a lot of agitated, misinformed conservative assholes who live to take shots at prominent black personalities- it prolly burns them up, that these young niggas, most of whom haven’t gone to college and a good percentage of whom don’t even have a GED, are able to articulate and influence the public at a level that their pasty, cornball, Ivy League asses could only dream of…I’ll betcha O’Reilly has a teenage son who sags his jeans and drowns out his pop’s incessant whining by turning up the volume on the Carter II and zoning out…
whudup It’sme. the 50 track is one of his better efforts. Kinda reminicent of the days when g-unit was good. Banks manhandled the track and Yayo held it down too. n/h.
“The Nygz” will also release their official LP called Pros &Cons early 2008 and guess what: the entire album will be produced by DJ Premier. This will be his first time producing a complete album since Gangstarr`s the ownerz.

Has anyone heard of these dudes?
Any good?

@Ike, that would give the old man O’Reilly a heart attack. If not a son a teenage daughter whos gettind dug out by a the star basketball player at her local Ivy league school, and you know hes black.
fighting with Billy boy is like fighting with a iggnorant loud lil teenager, you aint gonna get a word in, they dwell on one point they made and use that for the whole entire argument, and the argument is over when they say its over. “NO IM RIGHT! What up Nah… G7, Busta, Plug, Rey, cOLD, ike, Big Homie… everybody.
I can’t view the video at work, but from the comments I guess O’Reilly is calling out Nasty Nasir for using the word ‘gun’ in his records, then adding in a proposed show at V-Tech, and coming out with “nas is going to V-Tech to glorify the shootings”. Is that close?

That BP2 diss was aiight, but I lost interest once he started quoting Austin Powers on the hook…that joint can’t fuck with Ether…Jay’s swag is admirable (n/h), but the content on Ether was killer, Jerry, killer (c) Banya from Seinfeld

Wrong homie.
I have no problem admitting that as a diss, Ether is better than Takeover (although I maintain that as a song, I prefer Takeover for beats, flow etc), but Nas was talking bullshit. Funny bullshit with punchlines that hit hard, but bullshit nonetheless. Jay pulled Nas’s card with facts, but dude was too subtle, holding the Carmen shit back etc. That’s why Jay lost, and you can’t deny that.

Its quite impressive what Nas did with ether tho, he really had to come correct, coz he knew Jay had the Carmen thing up his sleave.
“Yeah, you know what and u know who, lets keep that between me and youâ€
^dude didnt holdback the carmen shit, when he said ask nas he dont want it with hov, people new what he was alluding to, it was already rumored.

cOLD, JAy hinted at the Carmen thing. If he’d kicked some “condoms on your baby seat” shit on Takeover, Jay would have made a bigger impact. Dude was trying to play chess, but in little diss battles like that, you’ve got to drop the bomb on a dude and that’s what Ether was.
To actually say a chick owes you because you brought her something eleminates anything he said uplifting women, i’m sorry. Nass reducing his beautiful black women to prostitutes, smh.

*Puts on white Beyonce boxer shorts*

@ Soul.. Ehhhh.. I think Jay lost because he shit on everybody’s hero.
People hated that Nas fell off but Jay basically kicked the man when he was down.. If RD Jay came at (pause) IWW Nas, then it might’ve gone differently, but people knew Nas was off and they hated it cuz everybody liked Nas at some point–sheeit, that’s how I felt.
Also, Go back and check out the lyrics.. Nas hit Jay with just as many true jabs and clever observations as Jay hit nas with (pause pause pause).
>I up lift women too. but if I buy a chick somethin wit some diamonds in it, you dog gone right a chick owe me somethin. I better get the best superDOME ever
^eh, but to make it a single? That’s not something a man should do, publicly degrade our women, then make a song saying there princesses, then turn around & ask them for cranium again. I’d be lying if I said I never thought that, but to make it a single is 10x worst than any Jay-Z lyric or 2pac lyric degrading women.

***Co-sign, I think Nas is G.O.A.T., and I take most of his inconsistencies with a grain of salt (no tequila), but that song was too misogynistic and bufoonish for me, personally, not to mention that it was all in all a horrible collaboration with ginuwine…That, plus the title track, inspired me not to buy that album….shit, I can get like 5 coasters for the same price at Bed, Bath, and Beyond…with regard to the misogny, I guess I’m a bit of hypocrite, though…I mean, I love old NWA and shit like that, but for some reason I expected a little better of Nas, or at least, that he would execute a concept like that with more class and artistry…

^^^^^^
I don’t think Jay “won” per se, I think he lost that..
I think Jay’s heart wasn’t into takeover.. He needed some more Promo for Blueprint because at that time Ja Ruled the world of hip-hop and dissing Mobb Deep wasn’t gonna do it..
Soooo Jay added the “Ya’ll don’t want it with Hov, just ask Nas” at blueprint to gain a response, and then Jay came with Takeover to hype up the album, and in all likelihood to give the little homey NaSs a boost..
He figured “Okay, I’m Jay-Z, I can handle whatever lil’ diss from Nas after takeover and that’ll be that”.. But Nas came with “Ether” and fuckin’ nuked Jay-Z and Rocafella.. So much so that if it wasn’t for Cam, the Roc might’ve never recovered, because fuckin’ State P wasn’t about to bring in huge numbers, ya know?
So now Jay gets “ethered” and he wasn’t expecting that kinda firepower from Nas, nor did he expect all of the Nas fans and some of his own fans to support nas the way they did.. So he comes back with Superugly and the track was basically wack. Okay, you hit the same breezy Nas did. Next?
Jay thought he could be Mr. Super Cool Slick Guy and diss Nas and everyone would laugh and that’d be that, or maybe it’d help Nas sell a few more albums and that’d be it, cuz I definitely believe that Hov reached out to and was rebuffed (pause) by Nas and therefore had to respect if not be an actual fan of Nasir’s work…
…only Nas fought back and kicked Jay down a flight of steps.
Beans > Hov? Nah…
Rockefeller dying of AIDS? Nah…
Jay calling Nas house? Nah…
It goes on like that.

cOLD, I disagree homie.
Bringing another man’s kids into shit like this is wrong, but fuck the baby moms, particularly when the baby moms in question is a class-A cunt like Carmen who fucked a rival emcee. These little diss battles are about hitting where it hurts (kids apart).
I gotta go, but saying ether was better than takeover is saying fiddy’s GRODT is a classic, it had a major impact when it came out, but after a few years & futher reviews takeover was a much better song.

X-Facta, it’s pretty easy to see just by watching. As far as pause technology, even Betamax had that shit. Welcome to the 90s.
———————
I go by “The-XFacta” don’t use my govt name again!
everyone misses a step.. Jay dropped the “ask nas he don’t want it wit hov”.. partially after on radio each camp was talkin each other up. I believe it was summerjam when this was first put out there.
after that line, Nas drops the Stillmatic “H to the OMO” freestyle over the paid in full joint. This was summer 2001. I remember vividly when me and my peoples heard it.. i was at college during a pre-freshman program. I think i used audiogalaxy to download it. but i digress…
then Jay goes back in and adds a verse on Takeover aimed at Nas. This had blueprint buzzing….
but then ether dropped.
nas revitalized himself and cemented himself on the hip hop mount rushmore.
- Words
PS – oh yeah… superugly came out sometime after that or something.
@ Soul– Cool breeze, agree to disagree works for me.

Absolutely. I figure ‘Ye writes about 85% of his stuff, with maybe 10% him and someone sitting down and writing with someone better (common, lupe, rhymefest), and maybe 5% flat out written by someone else..
But as far as production? He’s all over that shit. I imagine he picks the samples and makes his own drums even if he’s gotta bring in other musicians for the rest.. I know Brian “All Day” Miller has done a couple tracks ghostproducing for ‘Ye, but Kanye couldn’t be as arrogant as he is without being hands on (no homo)..
Besides, there is nobody in music doing what he’s doing, at such an incredibly high level.. If he’s not one of the best all around musicians and entertainers around, he’s the smartest for having assembled that team.
So, man-crush and all aside, yeah, Kanye is a m’fuckin’ genious, and he’s got the YouTube clips to back him up. (pause no homo)
Yo rey ur talkin stupid guy…..cam save the roc??? R you fuckin serious after ether dropped Jay was still on top of the world and state P was murderin shit left and right…..them lil niggas all went to war and not just to protect the roc but nas mentioned beans and free so they was ridin for their leaders……I think ether was a great diss but like joe 88 said YOU CAN’T COMPARE 1 VERSE TO A WHOLE FUCKIN SONG….and na they didn’t just happen 2 fuck the same breezy jay fucked his fiance while she was engaged to that nigga and then knocked the hoe up….”you got a baby by the broad you can’t disown her yet”……if you add up the verse from takeover + super ugly and bp2 song hands down jay spit better lyrics, harder facts and there for won they battle and the war hands down……ok I’m finished I’m going back 2 lurking now but don’t ever, ever, eva eva eva say sum stupid shit like that again
Don’t get me wrong… I’m an original Nas stan from the early 90’s, copping Half Time on white label vinyl the day it hit radio, but I’m talking how I see it.
^thats cool, this is one of them age old arguments that will never die. The City did come to a stand still at the height of the battle. Ninjas will be 75 tell their grand kids the story.
” … and you know that there Nas, God rest his soul, sigel handedly destroyed a whole record label. Years later Hova before becoming president of America, was rumored as saying that “Ether still burns in his soul”. .. Ok kids good night sleep tight, and dont let the ether seep in.

I really like BP2 but I wish he didn’t sample austin powers for the chorus, it makes the shit sound really dated, and Jay can’t do a British accent any better than Andre 3000 can. I also hate that Nas resorted to gay jokes in Ether, which seems more like something Limp Bizkit or Kid Rock (both of who he called soft) would do.
†… and you know that there Nas, God rest his soul, sigel handedly destroyed a whole record label. Years later Hova before becoming president of America, was rumored as saying that “Ether still burns in his soulâ€. .. Ok kids good night sleep tight, and dont let the ether seep in.
@ YeahMe2– Jay needed 3 songs. Nas really only needed 1, cuz the h-to the omo one doesn’t really count.
And no, Jay wasn’t on top of the world after Ether dropped.. State P was murdering shit on the mixtape circuit, which is like being the best minor league baseball player of all time.
Cam’Ron DID save the Roc because jay’s little ass “went on vacation” after Ether and all that shit. GirlsGirlsGirls and Izzo hit and came out before Stillmatic dropped, and even tho’ hov put out a video for Song Cry that shit ain’t get ANY spins on MTV, whereas Nas had One Mic on m’fuckin’ TRL..
Cam went plat with CTMH and had everybody going crazy, and when Scalded Dog Hov came back from “vacation” he got all hurt because the people (yes common) loved Cam and picked Nas.. Cam kept the roc alive in terms of commercial viability, not State P. Cam went platinum and had mufuckers on Top Pop 40 stations saying “Oh Boy” and “Hey Ma”, and Lurkey McLurker, if you know me you know I can’t STAND the dips, so to give that much credit to Camron you know I’m so sincerre (yes cedric).
Jay lost that one because he underestimated his opponent. Superugly didn’t mean shit compared to ether.. Nas ripped Jay a new byron crawford, er, asshole and Jay came back with I fucked your girl.
Wow. Awesome. Pulled a trick that Tupac did 5 YEARS EARLIER!
Been there, done that, blah blah blah.
Jay changed his whole shit up after Ether, had to double up his lyrical skills and drop a motherfucking Beyonce record.. Kind of a far cry from “I’m a pimp by blood, not relation”, isn’t it?
So, let’s take all that shit into consideration before you pop off at me, cuz there is nobody on this motherfucking site better at the Sociology of Mainstream Hip-Hop, it’s Audience, and it’s Artists than me.

Bill O’Reilly says “If you are a black musician and mention a gun or a cuss word, I will label you a gangsta.”
Mike Tyson says “To label Nas a gansta rapper is ludicrous.”
O’Reilly is nothing but the Media’s Hitler, eg. he forced Pepsi to drop Luda and said nothing when they replaced Luda with Ozzy Osbourne. If he would pay attention to Got Urself, he would realize that gun is a metaphor, but no he plays the chorus to back up his claim. FUCK BILL O’REILLY!!!
Damn I hat Bill O’Reilly so much. He needs to learn how to pronounce NaS’ name first before he talks shit. The gun conviction doesn’t mean anything anyways, its not like hes going to come shoot them up for no reason. Plus obviously stupid Bill doesnt relize that NaS wont perform a shoot em up type song.

There ya go.

NAS vs. JAY
everyone misses a step..

PS – oh yeah… superugly came out sometime after that or something.

@ Odie.. Shaddupayooface! I said No Homo.
~~~~
@ YeahMe2– Jay needed 3 songs. Nas really only needed 1, cuz the h-to the omo one doesn’t really count.
And no, Jay wasn’t on top of the world after Ether dropped.. State P was murdering shit on the mixtape circuit, which is like being the best minor league baseball player of all time.
Cam’Ron DID save the Roc because jay’s little ass “went on vacation” after Ether and all that shit. GirlsGirlsGirls and Izzo hit and came out before Stillmatic dropped, and even tho’ hov put out a video for Song Cry that shit ain’t get ANY spins on MTV, whereas Nas had One Mic on m’fuckin’ TRL..
Cam went plat with CTMH and had everybody going crazy, and when Scalded Dog Hov came back from “vacation” he got all hurt because the people (yes common) loved Cam and picked Nas.. Cam kept the roc alive in terms of commercial viability, not State P. Cam went platinum and had mufuckers on Top Pop 40 stations saying “Oh Boy” and “Hey Ma”, and Lurkey McLurker, if you know me you know I can’t STAND the dips, so to give that much credit to Camron you know I’m so sincerre (yes cedric).
Jay lost that one because he underestimated his opponent. Superugly didn’t mean shit compared to ether.. Nas ripped Jay a new byron crawford, er, asshole and Jay came back with I fucked your girl.
Wow. Awesome. Pulled a trick that Tupac did 5 YEARS EARLIER!
Been there, done that, blah blah blah.
Jay changed his whole shit up after Ether, had to double up his lyrical skills and drop a motherfucking Beyonce record.. Kind of a far cry from “I’m a pimp by blood, not relation”, isn’t it?
So, let’s take all that shit into consideration before you pop off at me, cuz there is nobody on this motherfucking site better at the Sociology of Mainstream Hip-Hop, it’s Audience, and it’s Artists than me.
Bill is such a dick.
August 16th, 2007 at 1:01 pm
Bill O’Reilly says “If you are a black musician and mention a gun or a cuss word, I will label you a gangsta.”
Mike Tyson says “To label Nas a gansta rapper is ludicrous.”
O’Reilly is nothing but the Media’s Hitler, eg. he forced Pepsi to drop Luda and said nothing when they replaced Luda with Ozzy Osbourne. If he would pay attention to Got Urself, he would realize that gun is a metaphor, but no he plays the chorus to back up his claim. FUCK BILL O’REILLY!!!
THE WHITE MAN’S WORST FEAR IS AN EDUCATED BLACK MAN WITH MONEY.
August 16th, 2007 at 1:40 pm
bill o’riley is a closed minded dick
all nas has to do is preform just a moment, then see how many ppl appriciate him
August 16th, 2007 at 3:03 pm
Damn I hat Bill O’Reilly so much. He needs to learn how to pronounce NaS’ name first before he talks shit. The gun conviction doesn’t mean anything anyways, its not like hes going to come shoot them up for no reason. Plus obviously stupid Bill doesnt relize that NaS wont perform a shoot em up type song. FUCK YOU BILL!
August 16th, 2007 at 6:23 pm
Just for the fuck of it
NAS WON
Now im not going to bother even watching this video because I don’t like to listen to the biased opinions of ignorant cracka hillbully racist fucks.
yo my mans down in VA gave me the alleged tracklisting for the was to be concert..shit would been off its head..
1. Shoot Em Up
2. Made You Look
3. Got Yourself A Gun
4. Shootouts
5. Throw Your Guns
6. Suicide Bounce
August 20th, 2007 at 1:06 pm
Fucking no way he would do “got yourself a gun”.
I call bullshit on that tracklist.
