you’ve gotta fucking love 50 cent –completely underrated in terms of intelligence. he’s the floyd mayweather of the rap game right now. most people want to see him fail, (some) people want to see him succeed (tony yayo and teenage white girls), and at the end of the day, he does well for himself. i’m looking to cop kanye’s joint on sep. 11th and i can see him flailing with “amusement park” and the outshines that have become of “i get money,” but i love the fact we have a dude telling you he’s #1 and won’t have it any other way. people say he’s the furthest thing from hip-hop nowadays. that’s the case with his music, but in terms of swag, that’s textbook old school hip-hop shit: i’m the best, this is why, and fuck you if you think differently. shit’s gotten too soft.
