A teenager has been arrested in connection with the execution-style killings of three college students in a Newark schoolyard, a source close to the investigation told CNN.
Family friend Cathy Rainey holds up a 2006 photo of victims Iofemi Hightower, 20, and Terrance Aeriel, 18.

The teen’s arrest on Wednesday night was the result of information provided by shooting survivor Natasha Aeriel, 19, the source said.
She is in stable condition and under heavy police guard at The University Hospital in Newark, recovering from gunshot and knife wounds.
Newark has become accustomed to violence but the killings Saturday night touched a nerve.
The four friends, ages 18 to 20, were shot while listening to music in an elementary school playground.
Three of them — Terrance Aeriel, 18, Dashon Harvey, 20; and Iofemi Hightower, 20 — were forced to kneel against a wall and were shot in the head, execution style.
Authorities have said robbery appeared to be the motive, but Essex County Prosecutor Paula Dow said Tuesday that police also were looking into possible gang involvement.

While Newark has seen 60 homicides this year, the schoolyard killings stood out because the victims, by all accounts, were good kids. All four were enrolled at Delaware State University or were in the process of enrolling.
A $150,000 reward was offered for information leading to any arrests or indictments in the case.
James Harvey, Dashon’s father, described his son Monday as “a good, good student, college student.”
“For him to be killed on the streets of Newark needlessly is very unacceptable,” he said at a news conference.
“They’re out here hurting innocent kids,” he added. “Innocent people are dying needlessly, unnecessarily and for what? For what? This to has to stop.”

Well first of all, the concept for Ja’s first album was way better than fiddy’s, majority of fiddy’s album was shoot em up bang bang, not that I don’t enjoy that type of music, but not 90% of an album, the only songs fiddy got deep on (pause) was “Many Men” & “Gotta make it to heavan”, while Ja gave you a full view of his life on songs like “Daddy’s lil girl” “only beggoton son” “Let’s ride” “count on your niggas” “Race against time” & “Suicidal freestyle”. 2nd VVV had something get rich didn’t have, outside collabo’s, Ja did songs with Jay-Z which is always a +, DMX, erick sermon, ronald isley & case, while get rich only had inside collabo’s & 50 got outshined by damn near everyone, 3rd 50 females songs sound forced, like “21 questions” come on, no one thought I love you like a fat kid loves cake was a dope line, “Pimp” was horrible, not saying that “holla holla” didn’t get on your nerves also, but atleast he showed signs of lyricism on that song, 50 album will be looked as the better of the 2 because of timing, good marketing, & strong team endorsements (dre & em), but Ja’s album was very solid, there you have it

I was a fiddy fan when “how 2 rob” came out, & i’ll never forget the day the bootleg/blanket man came threw with the “power of a dollar” album in 2000 (I still have the original copy also) I copped it, & loved it, back then fiddy sounded like mase, & this was before he got shot in the face. Police arrested a 15-year-old boy early this morning in connection with the execution-style slaying of three college students in a Newark schoolyard, according to sources close to the investigation.
Kanye is cool, but I don’t buy his albums. I can’t listen to him for an entire album. He’s killer on the beats though. I won’t be coppin’ Curtits’ album either. I’m pretty sure Kanye’s will be better though.

Well first of all, the concept for Ja’s first album was way better than fiddy’s, majority of fiddy’s album was shoot em up bang bang, not that I don’t enjoy that type of music, but not 90% of an album, the only songs fiddy got deep on (pause) was “Many Men” & “Gotta make it to heavan”, while Ja gave you a full view of his life on songs like “Daddy’s lil girl” “only beggoton son” “Let’s ride” “count on your niggas” “Race against time” & “Suicidal freestyle”. 2nd VVV had something get rich didn’t have, outside collabo’s, Ja did songs with Jay-Z which is always a +, DMX, erick sermon, ronald isley & case, while get rich only had inside collabo’s & 50 got outshined by damn near everyone, 3rd 50 females songs sound forced, like “21 questions” come on, no one thought I love you like a fat kid loves cake was a dope line, “Pimp” was horrible, not saying that “holla holla” didn’t get on your nerves also, but atleast he showed signs of lyricism on that song, 50 album will be looked as the better of the 2 because of timing, good marketing, & strong team endorsements (dre & em), but Ja’s album was very solid, there you have it
