Uprising Records is especially excited about DilinJah’s recent signing to the label, for despite being primarily known as a rock label, and more recently moving into the realm of Hip Hop (with releases by Amir Sulaiman, and iCON The Mic King as well as more slated by the likes of Tragedy Khadafi, and Taj Mahal) – Uprising’s first release some 14 years ago was actually a reggae album, and the label’s owner, Sean Muttaqi, has long been involved in the reggae and dancehall scenes (both as musician, as well as fan).
