I think there’s a quiet thirst, pause, for real hip hop submerging. I think we have maybe another year of this “wipe me down”-type bullcrap before we get back on track. Economies and everything else is somewhat cyclical in nature, I don’t think hip hop is any different.

WILL WAYNE DISS 50 CENT?
I, like you, know that Lil’ Wayne’s momentum is crazy right now. There is a rabid rumor going around that Lil’ Wayne is going to release a diss to 50 Cent for all that stuff 50 said. You know, 50 Cent called Weezy a “whore†for working with so many people.
Word is Lil Wayne has already recorded a diss song to 50 Cent. This would act as great promotion for 50’s new album, but Weezy doesn’t even have a disc out! On top of that, I think that Wayne could be severely vulnerable to 50’s comedy game. From what I understand Young Buck and Lil’ Wayne are actually pretty cool. I guess we’ll see. I’d rather see Wayne and Jay-Z go at it though, because that would be more lyrical warfare.
^Lil Wayne vs. 50 Cent might be the next Nas and Jay…hope they keep it on record…and it doesn’t spill out to the streets…
