It seems like nobody is trying to find out what Dre’s plans are. Are people afraid to ask him? He’s got two of the most anticipated albums lying on the shelf for years now and he’s remained silent about them. Throw Joell’s album in the mix too. smh.

I never really got into the whole Wu Tang movement/ensemble [collective…smh. Can I live.] Someone care to explain why I should believe they are better than Outkast or NWA. Or does it not matter so as long as those three are in the top three?
It seems like nobody is trying to find out what Dre’s plans are. Are people afraid to ask him? He’s got two of the most anticipated albums lying on the shelf for years now and he’s remained silent about them. Throw Joell’s album in the mix too. smh.

My only guess is that he’s waiting till rap music starts seelling like it used too. With all the talent on the Aftermath and Interscope roster I don’t think it’d be a stretch(nh) to say that Dre still has the chance to change the sound of hip hop again.

^We’ve had this discussion before. Once again, why sign people you have no intention in putting out music for? For once fuck the money and just put out good music. You know that Dre (and other artists with sub-labels) got certain clauses in his deal with Interscope that if he presents a finished product for release, he gotta share a minimum or half of marketing & promoting costs…ex. like a minimum million out of Aftermath Entertainment budget…and that’s just a minimum…

It seems like nobody is trying to find out what Dre’s plans are. Are people afraid to ask him? He’s got two of the most anticipated albums lying on the shelf for years now and he’s remained silent about them. Throw Joell’s album in the mix too. smh.

My only guess is that he’s waiting till rap music starts seelling like it used too. With all the talent on the Aftermath and Interscope roster I don’t think it’d be a stretch(nh) to say that Dre still has the chance to change the sound of hip hop again.

Dre signs people to small deals, and then sees if they are productive enough to become what he wants, if not they get shipped off…like G.A.G.E, or almost Game,
And don’t ever say, “fuck the money” that’s where you living fantasies homie… this is a business, a job, a life, saying “fuck money” doesn’t factor in the equation…
True, Dre is swimming in money, but the way he got there was thinking business 1st, everything else 2nd…
If he didn’t he would be Styles P right now….
THere is no possible way to say “fuck the money” and just release an album…
You know that Dre (and other artists with sub-labels) got certain clauses in his deal with Interscope that if he presents a finished product for release, he gotta share a minimum or half of marketing & promoting costs…ex. like a minimum million out of Aftermath Entertainment budget…and that’s just a minimum…

^they say the best way to prove a point is with an extreme example.. so that was an extreme example.. even if dre lost 50 million on a bad investment he’d be good. not to say that in reality he’d spend 50 million. or even 5 million on a Joell project.. joell’s budget should be around 200k.. especially with the inhouse production.. so joell movin 150k units at 9.99 a pop is 1.5 mil off of 200k (minus distributions cut etc) so dre still comes out ahead.. but more importantly dre cant have his name on a project that is less than platinum.. so therein lies the conundrum.

Eng, for some reason there’s KFC, Taco Bell and Burger King in the movie theatres here, and my friend got the BK stacker once because he didn’t have time to eat before the movie. He unwrapped it and it smelled like the entire theatre shit their collective pants at once. If Ay Bay Bay had a smell, it would have been that.
