Hurricane Chris ft. The Game, Jadakiss, Lil Boosie and Baby.
This song is significant because it’s a posse remix of a popular Southern song and neither Andre 3000 nor Weezy are on it.

I say we use the same damm tactics they did, and use our dollars–even my about-to-be-laid-off-dollars–to support the good music (no pun intended, for a change)… You know damm well them corporations will accept money spent on Common or Kweli albums just as much as they will Jim motherfucking Jones or Weasel F Fraggle CDs..
^^Like I said….I don’t care if Jesus Christ comes out with a double-disc “posthumous†greatest hits album…if I ain’t feelin’ it, then I ain’t feelin’ it. I bought one album in 2006. I’m probably only gonna cop Kanye this year. It is what it is.
>>What’s wrong with an album trying but kiiiinda missing the mark?
^^Rey….I don’t know about you…but if an album is wack….I’m not buying it. This is why the good Lord created “ITunesâ€.
^^^^
If an album is wack, I completely understand.. Hell, I downloaded “Push it to the limit†last summer, but you’d have to pay me to even listen to Port of Miami..
My point is that I think people are being too tough on the artists that have consistently tried to put out quality music or positive messages thru their music.. and I don’t mean some “let’s all hug†bullshit, or some *barf* Black Eyed Peas shit.. I’m talking that Lupe, Common, ‘Ye, Kweli stuff.. Stuff that’s good on it’s own, and good without resorting to the 6 Bs–bullets, blow, bentleys, bitches, bling, bucks–Or, if it does resort to any of those, to do it at a higher level–Jay, Big, Nas.. crack guns money–but there’s a level of quality there that goes above and beyond “Human Crack in the Flesh†or “It’s not my birthday but My name’s on that cake†kinda shit….
There’s a difference between Airplane and Soul Plane, na mean? Same concept, different execution, same idea, different quality..
and I agree with Jamz.. the rap fans that claim to care are too quick to shit on “the good guysâ€.. If the music wasn’t free and therefore easy to acquire and easier to dispose of, the judgments wouldn’t be so harsh..
Instead of people appreciating the accessibility of the music, they’re taking it, consuming it, and shitting it right the fuck out, days, weeks, and months before the projects hit stores..
and for all my Billz/Morph fans out there– If that’s a mufuckin’ conspiracy by the man to get us to do that shit, ya’ll are ALL falling for it..
Yamo support that Kanye, That Kweli, and that Common–at least they’re trying.
>>and I agree with Jamz.. the rap fans that claim to care are too quick to shit on “the good guysâ€.. If the music wasn’t free and therefore easy to acquire and easier to dispose of, the judgments wouldn’t be so harsh..
^^I agree to a point. Music is still music whether they’re talking about rims, ice, love, hate, sunshine, or teddy bears…if the lyricist ain’t on point or the song don’t flow right of the beat is wack, then you ain’t gonna just sit there and say “oh well he tried” and bump that shit anyway….well maybe you guys would but I wouldn’t. The Nas’ and Commons of the world have to still make GOOD MUSIC, not matter what the message behind it is.
jada lost… who was that hermapherdite right before he came on.. and this video cost 50 dollars to make.. not to mention chingo blings remix of this shit was WAYYYYYYYYY better..
I fell what your saying but calm the fuck down, you on some “lets over ride the system†type shit, the monster we call the “industry†aint gonna change, if it’s a rapper out there willing to sell his soul for a single & ringtone $, just support the artist you like & K.I.M

Niggas aint selling records, so they wanna blame it on the south - Game
I fuck with game for that line alone (nh)
——————-
The Gayme also didn’t sell any records!!! SMH @ this clown ass nigga who claimed he was going to sell 4m and for Jay-Z to push his album back, just so he could actually sell 881k…
I’m just not as cynical as the rest of the rap world–not saying this site, ya’ll are some openminded cats for the most part–yet.
Thing is man.. So much of my life and identity has/had to do with the rap I grew up listening to.. and even the shit I like now.. Seeing it diluted the way it is now is painful..
If I had a nickel for each time a rap song has brought me out of a bad mood or depression or whatever, I’d be a rich motherfucker.. I appreciate that shit, ya know? Be it the lyrics, the beats, whatever.. The legitimate swagger acquired by hustling and putting out quality music, thoughtful music (not emo thoughtful but taking the time to do it right thoughtful).. that shit can be inspiring.
The right lyrics can flip the whole day around, ya know?
Rap just doesn’t do that shit anymore, not really anyway.. so when someone like ‘Ye comes out with a joint like “Stronger” or “Can’t tell me nothing”, that’s shit you can bank on, shit you can put on like motherfucking armor and get thru your day..
The world is a shitty enough place these days, man.. Some days it’s fuckin’ hard to get outta bed, but you all know just as well as I do–so get outta character for a second and walk with me–that the right song at the right time can take you all the way back from the brink..
So riddle me this, am I really such an emo ayo whatever the hell for thinking this way?
you can compare this to the audio version of gentrification..
they see the wacktastic rap sells.. they make the good music move off the airwaves.. the “hood” is now flooded with “money making ventures” rather than something that feels like home.. like what you grew up with.. like what you’ve come to know and love..
The Gayme also didn’t sell any records!!! SMH @ this clown ass nigga who claimed he was going to sell 4m and for Jay-Z to push his album back, just so he could actually sell 881k…
