as a member of the punk/hardcore community that frequented CBGB’s in the past, I can tell you with 100% certainty that what happened to CBGB’s was a direct result of the owner and proprietor having no desire to stay there. They had benefits as a means to collect money with no intention of ever staying open. The fact that it wasn’t preserved as a city landmark sucks but a good 90% of the blame rests on the dude who ran the place and not the city.

@ Billz & Sour – yeah… B*sh has been on that ill sh!t for a minute now… I’m shook to think of what the next terror event is that they have planned… they’ve been testing us to see how we react to things since 911 and it’s crazy that nothing has come of it… we had the blackout, threats that they create, pipes blowing up and all kinds of other things to test what happens when our infrastruture fails… it’s crazy…
