They’re on with Steve Riffkind’s(sp) SRC Label or some ish like that. Indy albums are winning this year as far as good releases go. Rae made a huge mistake signing with Dre. If you can sell a mill in a month Dre doesn’t want nothing to do with the project. Sales are way down, Dre is mad quiet. Dre’s not gonna make any money putting out Rae’s album.

***word…I went through some adversity in my life…being evicted, living in shelters, pops getting sick when I was a teen, and dying when I was barely 20, you name it…but that experience only makes me hungrier, and more determined to be secure, so that my son doesn’t have to go through it…As far as substance abuse goes, I drink like a fish on the weekends, but only on the weekends, and only after like 9 pm, because while I realize that there is a degree of escapism in intoxication, all it takes is a look at some of the walking zombies in the PJs, to let a nigga know that it’s a short road from struggle to hell, and all it takes is a few wrong decisions, or the inability to control your own destiny to end up there…once you give alcohol, drugs, whatever, that kind of power in your life, you lost….

basically poor people are forced to love money, it sounds twisted, but you want what you don’t have, and in this day and age money is glorified. this may sound weird to you, as most of our values revolve around money, but don’t be fooled, that’s all a trick… money is somebody’s invention and you’re hooked to it
rich people were rich and will always be rich, but for someone poor to become rich is now some sort of accomplishment. coming from “nothing” moneywise now means coming from being nothing literally. so the minute you get that money, it has to change you. keep in mind, this is all trickery, as they want you to spend that money once you get it, don’t believe the hype. but i defer… having money to begin with puts you in a position against people who do not have money, now those people who are out to get it have drive, and they look up to you, kinda, to set the example. people with less money have something to live for, getting money. i know it’s twisted to say, but it sounds right, doesn’t it? now that drive combined with hardships and not necessarily failures but being forced to fail in life because of random occurences plus bureaucracies makes shit hard but fuck, having nothing means you have nothing to lose.
conversely, having somehting puts you in the spot light. think about marilyn manroe, anna nicole smith. i would say kurt cobain, but they killed him, no man can commit suicide with a shotgun or wtv, a long rifle. nh
but… when shit gets rough, always having the easy way out doesn’t come easy this time around. look at paris having to go to jail, it didn’t make sense to her as she always did have a way out. if it woulda been for a few years, she woulda killed herself on the spot… her life was meaningless, no drive because she had everything she wanted and once that was taken away… then what

I have a few friends that are manic depressive–seriously, no hootie/the game talk–and that shit is scary.. My best friend– This is a girl that I love more than air and water (maybe even earth and heart, too), but she gets so down sometimes that it scares me to death…
Some people get like that and just lose out, not in the blog sense of “lose/lost/loses”, but for real.. They can’t come up with one good reason to keep going.
