    ^ I believe that Rey…. good point..

    ***

Yeah, I mean, plus you gotta figure that dudes that bought VVV didn’t buy 336, PIL, or TLT… and 50 brought back the glossy gangster rap, and dudes missed that, so he had that audience too.

The 16 year old girls grew up, switched off rap, or found a new crush, and that’s where Ja went. I’m sure a bunch of them liked 50 as well, but girls are more diplomatic (right K-Rob?) so they prolly copped both. Last Temptation went plat off 1.5 singles, so his audience was there, and R.U.L.E. went gold, so his core is there.

In today’s climate tho’, Ja isn’t gonna sell. At least he’s back to making quality music. He’s made enough songs I liked for me to be happy about that.

Yes sir. You gotta play the game, even if it sucks. I been homeless, depressed, alone, broke, scared of everything and anything……. There are always better days ahead..

It’s like the last matrix movie.. Ya’ll remember when they broke thru the clouds towards the end and the sun was there? That’s the idea.

  181. nation Says:

basically poor people are forced to love money, it sounds twisted, but you want what you don’t have, and in this day and age money is glorified. this may sound weird to you, as most of our values revolve around money, but don’t be fooled, that’s all a trick… money is somebody’s invention and you’re hooked to it

rich people were rich and will always be rich, but for someone poor to become rich is now some sort of accomplishment. coming from “nothing” moneywise now means coming from being nothing literally. so the minute you get that money, it has to change you. keep in mind, this is all trickery, as they want you to spend that money once you get it, don’t believe the hype. but i defer… having money to begin with puts you in a position against people who do not have money, now those people who are out to get it have drive, and they look up to you, kinda, to set the example. people with less money have something to live for, getting money. i know it’s twisted to say, but it sounds right, doesn’t it? now that drive combined with hardships and not necessarily failures but being forced to fail in life because of random occurences plus bureaucracies makes shit hard but fuck, having nothing means you have nothing to lose.

conversely, having somehting puts you in the spot light. think about marilyn manroe, anna nicole smith. i would say kurt cobain, but they killed him, no man can commit suicide with a shotgun or wtv, a long rifle. nh

but… when shit gets rough, always having the easy way out doesn’t come easy this time around. look at paris having to go to jail, it didn’t make sense to her as she always did have a way out. if it woulda been for a few years, she woulda killed herself on the spot… her life was meaningless, no drive because she had everything she wanted and once that was taken away… then what

people who commit suicide are sometimes seeking attention but sometimes want an easy way out… that,s what you always hear, im no expert but i really cant dabble in there because i don’t know that feeling that would push someone to do that, especially to themselves. being a god, (don’t get me started) means that you can affect and modify the world around you, but suicide is ass-backwards nh (ok, ill stop here) but.

honestly there’s so much to say, but it’s all relative. i’m not even talking about kris’ son here, im talking in general

I have a few friends that are manic depressive–seriously, no hootie/the game talk–and that shit is scary.. My best friend– This is a girl that I love more than air and water (maybe even earth and heart, too), but she gets so down sometimes that it scares me to death…

Some people get like that and just lose out, not in the blog sense of “lose/lost/loses”, but for real.. They can’t come up with one good reason to keep going.

My nephew is the best thing that’s ever happened to me because I wanna be here every day of his life, not just every day for the rest of mine–He gives me that extra bonus no matter how emo or mad or whatever I get. A blessing until I have my own kids.

Sheeit, I’m blessed to recognize him as that, some aren’t so lucky.

If ur into lyricism then you should embrace battle rapping as a platform where skills prevail. Today selling records is more to do with marketing budgets and strategies than it has to do with skill.

And dont be surprised if in the next 2 yrs the worlds top 10 battle rappers make more money than rappers who can only sell 50K units or less, not to mention the 500,000 other rappers who are still trying to get noticed.

    $50K World Rap Championships
Established in 2006 The World Rap Championships is a global 2on2 Rap Battle League, broadcast exclusively online on http://www.jumpoff.tv. 300 rappers across 8 divisions participate in more than 500 battles(60 hours) over a 5 month season for a chance to win a place in the $50,000 Playoffs in Las Vegas.
