Busta = Definitely Going to Prison

You won’t be smilin’ on Rikers Island

Ok, I don’t usually wish prison on anybody, and I’m not wishing it on Busta, but come on man. If this dude doesn’t go in for at least 30 days, there’s some fishy shit going on. Today he rejected, for the second time, a plea deal that would’ve sent him up for a year on two counts of assault, a DUI and a driving with a suspended license charge. So now he’s looking at four separate trials on all of those charges, and I don’t care how good your lawyer is, somethings gotta give with those odds. Word to Paris.

Suicide is the ultimate act of selfishness, too…in a way, it’s self love manifesting as self hatred…you hate your life, yet you value your happiness above those who would be negatively impacted by losing you…in supposedly ending your problems, you have complicated the lives of your survivors immeasurably….”Suicidal Thoughts” is still my shit, though, because it plays out like a diary or some shit- the act of suicide really seems to make sense, and it sounds like B.I.G. thought out all of the repercussions and understands that he’s making a questionable decision…

I have a few friends that are manic depressive–seriously, no hootie/the game talk–and that shit is scary.. My best friend– This is a girl that I love more than air and water (maybe even earth and heart, too), but she gets so down sometimes that it scares me to death…

Some people get like that and just lose out, not in the blog sense of “lose/lost/loses”, but for real.. They can’t come up with one good reason to keep going.

My nephew is the best thing that’s ever happened to me because I wanna be here every day of his life, not just every day for the rest of mine–He gives me that extra bonus no matter how emo or mad or whatever I get. A blessing until I have my own kids.

Sheeit, I’m blessed to recognize him as that, some aren’t so lucky.

  43. Rey Says:

This is my absolute shit right here, it’s 3 parts, this is the beginning

    From Pump up the Volume:

Mark Hunter: You hear about some kid who did something stupid, something desperate; what possessed him? How could he do such a terrible thing? Well, it’s really quite simple, actually. Consider the life of a teenager - you have parents, teachers telling you what to do, you have movies, magazines and TV telling you what to do, but you know what you have to do. Your job, your purpose is to get accepted, get a cute girlfriend, think up something great to do with the rest of your life. What if you’re confused and can’t imagine a career? What if you’re funny looking and can’t get a girlfriend? You see, no-one wants to hear it. But the terrible secret is that being young is sometimes less fun than being dead.

  44. Rey Says:

    Part 2

Mark Hunter: I’m sick of being ashamed. I don’t mind being dejected and rejected, but I’m not going to be ashamed about it. At least pain is real. I mean, you look around and you see nothing is real, but at least the pain is real.

  45. BKScribe Says:

…the joint is called “Who the Fuck is Joell Ortiz”

^ oh :( I had that since 04.. damn billz got me hype (nhbdihcsnwibg)

  46. Rey Says:

Part 3–the end of the monologue

Mark Hunter: They say I’m disturbed. Well, of course I’m disturbed. I mean, we’re all disturbed. And if we’re not, why not? Doesn’t this blend of blindness and blandness want to make you do something crazy? Then why not do something crazy? It makes a helluva lot more sense than blowing your fucking brains out.

  47. I Fux Says:

^I went about 2 years ago. Pathetic. Me and two other cats that I knew through one of my homies gassed up his Honda Civic coupe (with my tall ass sittin’ in the back) and drove down there. I didn’t know one of the dudes was a snowflake chaser, and he had us crashin’ in some random white chicks room… with my dumbass on the floor. Why? Because the heffa that walked in, I REFUSED to shack up with her. Then we got the telly the next night. Walked the boardwalk for the most part the next day, only to be surrounded by white people. The only part that was semi-Brown was the lil’ pseudo Jamaican club. There, is where I met this Indian chick, another story that ended down the tubes. Lol

^Agreed. And I hate to sound like a classist, but that’s why I don’t really fuck with surbaban Blacks like that. For instance, I had an epiphany about hip hop today and the way it’s being shunned by Brown people on a major level. It’s no different than when a predominately Black neighborhood runs into some problems and the Black middle class left our asses hung to dry. They “moved on” so-to-speak without ever considering that maybe if they helped then it wouldn’t be in dire straits. Especially since they had the financial backing which allowed them more freedom of speech/press if need be. If all the “good” citizens of hip hop decide to stop fuckin’ with it, then it will ultimately come to it’s demise sooner than later. Phonte rapped about that on Kardinal’s new joint. That’s why I stick with hip hop for better or worse. Even though I don’t listen to the radio, there are plenty of artists out there that I promote selflessly who I feel are making good music and should be heard. I don’t get a check for tryin’ to get people to listen to Loaded Lux, Serius Jones, or Ruste Juxx. But if you never heard of them before, then how will you know if you even like their music? I think everyone needs to make a collective effort to support what’s good. Go back to grassroots PR/promotions/marketing… which is exactly what we’re doin’ right now on NR when we inform each other of new music via mixtapes, other websites, etc.

Mainstream gyms have become the new haven for homoeroticism (i.e. downlow brothas). Ninjas in spandex, see-through workout tanks, and probably (assuming, because I haven’t been in a while) an excessive amount of “oil” smeared on the top layer of their epidermis. Nah G.

stop all the madness, pushups and pullups, and a 1 mile every other day jog. that is all.

^But it’s easier to track progress using weights. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll wake up and bang out some pushups and I’m good. But it seems the results with weights can be tracked better if recorded properly.

I don’t really like to exercise, but I will pushup on a chick - Lloyd Banks, Best of Banks Pt. 1

plastic is 97% non recyclable.. and the 3% that is.. needs new plastic to be added to the mold to maintain its integrity.. meaning.. its cheaper to get new plastic than recycle..

Also there is an area in the doldrums (currentless seas) about 800 miles north of hawaii.. that has an area 4 times the size of texas.. where amazing amounts of plastic has settled.. plastic cannot be destroyed without releasing the chemicals in it.. very poisonous.. and its infiltrating the fish we eat.. and the environment through other means.. basically.. its not the look
