it doesn’t apply, and that’s part of my point. if they continue to push songs as ringtones and individual digital downloads, they’re going to ensure that they completely kill the album market. Album sales are down, but people still buy albums, and I’m sure a bunch will buy Curtis…but not if they don’t hear a song from it that they like.

yeah well i used to just tape shit when they played it on the radio and make mixtapes since i was 9 years old. I dont see how downloading is so much different. Did you know how bad companies freaked out when they learned people could dub their tapes and videos, they adapted. TV networks freaked out when they released the remote control because people could change the channel and miss the commercials so easy. They fuckin adapted. Why are these morons running the record industry and cant seem to adapt whatsoever

I think that right now Interscope knows that with 50’s music it’s more like “Hear/Not Like/Delete track right away/Never buy the album” at least that’s how I see it. And I honestly think that they hope to sell albums just off the fact that it’s a new 50 album, and not cause it’s a dope album….
