GRODT was really lousy lyrically. The best verse on the album was Marshall’s “Patiently Waiting” verse.

GRODT had the best production on any album this decade except for maybe The College Dropout.. It had great hooks.. It had all kinds of build-up and momentum…

But, to me, it had zip in terms of lyrics.

And I’ve said it before, so relax: Amusement Park and Straight 2 the Bank have some of 50’s best verses in years BUT 50 doesn’t have it lyrically.

Conceptually, I’ll give him that.

But not lyrically.
