So Just went ahead and posted a freaking dissertation on his site addressing Saigon’s recent comments regarding the delay of his album. After reading that novel (Just Blaze don’t wanna see me on the novel tip… SON DON’T WANT IT, i.e. NR Broken Wings post) I understand why Dead Prez will probably NEVER have ill beats unless it’s a mixtape. Most publishers/artists/owners of “masters” (that’s not a coincidence they named it that) would never clear their songs.
Oh wait, but I own Baseline Studios, where most of the album was recorded. I gotta be caking off that end then right?

Yo.. thats a good read up top.. gives a sliver of insight into the behind the scenes for people trying to setup a label/put out an album… shit is expensive and time consuming. it’s not all hooks, bars and beats. get a good mic, a couple mattresses to soundproof your booth, get a 4 track and a keyboard and most of all, be talented.

LF: For anyone who has OnDemand, go to National Geographic and watch this special called Fight Science. It studies 5 different fighting/martial techniques and talks about the art of the knockout. Boxing, Kung-Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Karate (I think), and Ninjitsu were the ones studied. They even had the brick-breakin’ mofos on there and had a master of Drunken Boxin’ (aka Drunken Style aka Drunken Kung Fu) on there. Pretty interesting to say the least.
