you’re a moron. being able to write a song that has pop appeal and is gonna do well on radio doesn’t make you the greatest. it makes you talented, but it doesn’t mean you’re artistic. look at all of the artists who have done really well with sales and spins and tell me 80-90% of them weren’t making mostly trash. sure you have exceptions like Pac and Big, but for each of them you got 5 MC Hammers and Nellys. and all of the good artists who are really making artistic shit go wood.

Jada’s better than 50 because Jada has more diverse subject matter, wittier punchlines, a better flow and delivery, more rhyme schemes and a larger vocabulary. But GRODT is better than any of Kiss’ albums so far. If Jada drops the album he’s capable of everyone will recognize his skills.

I think there are quite a few artists that are better than 50. Either they stronger, got a better flow, wittier lines etc. BUT I get da impression dat 50 like the “Ryu” of rap. He da all rounder but no matter how many fireballs u can bust in 10 secs, da people will always go for the next best ‘Ken’.

Personally, I don’t like the Lox. If Puffy made dem blow up after MPR den maybe cause that was when dey were hot. If dey had better beats right now den aqgain, maybe, I would listen more. But fact is dey don’t. Styles P is cool but even then da beat can’t make me feel it. Sheek just sounds like an old man 2 me gasping when he rhymes. Jada needs to stop sounding like he falling asleep from his own shit.

As for Fif, I ain’t impressed wid nuttin’ he released for this album. Fully Loaded Clip was fuckin’ cool BUT his lyrics just seemed a bit….old. Straight to the Bank was good lyrically (good, not amazing) but the hook is so catchy it makes me sick! LoL! U just can’t help to scream ‘HahaHahahahaha’ when u walkin’ 2 da store. Amusement Park…….no…….4get the cliches its done BUT da ladies do like the song n it is groovable when ur drunk n just flexin a chick.

^I’ve watched a total of one ep, and that was when a shorty/friend flew in from Boston. We watched it her hotel room in Bethesda. I was like, “wtf is this?”. But that was also the same day I saw Andrew Dice Clay’s show, and it was the ep when he shitted on Wendy’s sidekick. Hilarious.

I believed that hip hop saw the way ish was goin’ and decided to go back underground, where the only people who will find him (lol @ that… like hip hop is a person or some shit) are the people who fuck with the streets/underground. Think about it… since hip hop was created, when did it ever have a major slump until recently? It’s a cycle, and the other stuff that we like will eventually resurface. It just has to wait its turn again. Plus rap is only one facet of hip hop.

The New York Police Department monitored and spied on various rappers months before the 2004 Republican National Convention, which was held in New York.

The details were revealed in 600 pages worth of secret files released yesterday (May 16) by the New York Civil Liberties Union, who is suing the city on behalf of demonstrators arrested during the questioning.

According to the documents, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jay-Z, LL Cool and Alicia Keys were all put under surveillance in the months before the 2004 Republican National Convention arrived in New York.

Each one of the artists attended a rally held by Russell Simmons’ Hip-Hop Summit Action Network in Aug. Of 2004, to support voter registration and to address various political issues.

“These documents paint a picture of a surveillance program that was broad, clumsy, and often unlawful,” said Donna Lieberman, NYCLU Executive Director. “The NYPD failed to differentiate between unlawful behavior and behavior that is not only lawful but should in fact be cherished and protected. Today the public can finally bear witness to that failure.”

The documents reveal that undercover NYPD officers infiltrated political meetings and monitored listservs for years before the Republican National Convention.

The NYPD is accused of recording information about activity that was completely peaceful and lawful.

New York officials attempted to block the documents from going public, but a judge ruled in favor of the NYCLU on May 4, ruling that the documents should not be kept under wraps.

I don’t know about your situation in it’s entirety, but you need to pay your rent fam. Understand that even though money is your manz, he put himself in that situation. Therefore he should understand that you are a 9 to 5′er and must priortize payin’ your rent so that you can have a roof over your head. You don’t have money to just throw away for the sake of giving someone temporary freedom until a court date. I’m not sayin’ that you shouldn’t look out because that’s what friends do. But there are other ways you can help, i.e. checkin’ on his momz/grandmother to see if she’s ok. You have to take care of self first before you can give to others.
