I like how 50 made the point that critics never go after corperations, but instead go for easy individual targets like rappers. Never against Interscope, who market and distribute the cd’s, but instead they crtisize 50 who just raps and lets the corperations take care of the rest in a sense. The Paramount/Universal never getting criticized for releasing violent movies was a good point too. Visual violence has more influence than spoken words in a song.

I like how 50 made the point that critics never go after corperations, but instead go for easy individual targets like rappers. Never against Interscope, who market and distribute the cd’s, but instead they crtisize 50 who just raps and lets the corperations take care of the rest in a sense. The Paramount/Universal never getting criticized for releasing violent movies was a good point too. Visual violence has more influence than spoken words in a song.

i never understood people thinking like that, first off when i went to college i just took my hustle there, where i was in in environment taylor made for hustling and making extra money, if i could do that and go to school so i wouldnt have to always hustle

The majority of rappers are playing characters on their records, so of course they have real lives outside of the stories they tell us like going to college, amusement parks, plays, parent/teacher conferences, etc. They never rap about that shyt because most of their fans would clown them and their record sales would drop, so they continue telling the hoe, drug and gun violence stories to keep everything balanced…
