why does NaS associate with this clown? Game has no talent(before you hate please poust up some qoutables) and he is bi polar. plus his next album is gonna be an auotomatic flop.
Nas is on top of the Rap Game!! He is the King of Hip Hop for our modern time… I think his new record, he is getting ready to cook up is gonna be a Bomb!! I’ve been hearing some things from the Cat Wyldfyer who co-produced Black Republicans and M.O.B. off HHID… Get ready People!!
Nas kills it but co-sign Furious why you puttin out videos for your joint when it was released last year???? I don’t get it…….
In other news, that Ortiz - The Brick is fuckin class. The joint with Immortal Tech is ridiculous, if he ever gets a Dre produced Aftermath album I predict it will be a classic.
I admit that Game has little to no new subject matter in his rhymes, its all been the same since The Documentary but I can’t front, the nigga can flow.
@ Eng. That Brick is the hottest thing that is out right now. Plays it non-stop. Track 5 125 Grams is my shit. The whole album actually.
^^What up Big Homie? Nicely. Yeah that Ortiz spits flames, I really think this dude could be a future hip-hop heavyweight (no pun) and its defo a good look for Brooknam and NY. That Immortal Tech and Ortiz joint is crazy nice as is that Hip-Hop joint. I have’nt seen any rapper with as much skill/flow/lyricism/vocal ability comin in to the game since Pun and Big, thats my word. Ortiz is definitely the best new rapper comin outta NY, Saigon and Pap need to be lookin over their shoulders……….
man…i don’t have a problem with the veterans still rapping, but when are they gonna start bringing new blood into the game? nas hasn’t really put a push behind *anyone* (not quan, not nature, not…dag, i forgot a lot of those random QB dudes’ names, but you know, fill in the blank…LOL). jay hardily ever signs anyone from BK, let alone marcy (i hear he just scooped uncle murder though). i mean, the radio won’t let anyone new in without an industry stamp of approval…new york hip-hop is “dead” b/c the older dudes refuse to pass the torch. even busta hasn’t broken anyone from flipmode other than rah digga (and he was half-hearted about her project, if her sales are a gauge…lol). 50 is the only dude who really put his crew on like that, but even HE won’t sign *new* rappers from New York (everyone outside his immediate circle is from the south or the west OR was an established NY group already)
new york hip-hop is “dead†b/c the older dudes refuse to pass the torch
^^*hands late pass to Game Over*
‘Joell Ortiz - The Brick’ has dropped chief, dude is from Brooknam, NY, this muthafucka got the whole of NY on his back, bringin back real hip-hop to NY. ‘If ya don’t know now ya know’ (c) Big Poppa
Ortiz is definitely what Hip Hop needs and holding it down for BK and NYC. Too bad his album sales will probably not push as much as the other albums that is out but the quality of an album is what matters to me. I was with a shorty the other day and was telling her about the album. I recommended her to go cop it. So bad I almost gave her my copy and I was going to go cop another album. Basically if you dont have that album, go cop it.
damn yo all this buzz and critical acclaim ortiz is getting i thought pap would get, where the hells ur album pap
^Pap got skills but he ain’t got shit on Ortiz……real talk. Ortiz has got the flow, the lyricism and the voice, Pap has got the lyricism but he ain’t fuckin with Ortiz’ flow and voice. Pap needs to release an album already though, he’s disappearing between the cracks in the concrete…..what up pockets?
Lol @ the dude who answered the door talking about, “don’t put my face on cameraâ€â€¦â€¦ the wolves…lol

^^Have you heard it? Admittedly a lot of it is NY-centric but its still speakin about shit I can relate to….. growin up in squalor, not havin shit etc. The joint with Immortal Tech is about oppression in the housing estates and projects and how the government created these environments…………how is that not relevant to wherever the fuck it is that you live? Just askin………
What up Duo? Ain’t shit with me bruh, spent the whole weekend movin house, I’m fuckin knackered……..whats good with you son? Get up to any shenanigans over the weekend?
do they really need green screen to be in their own hoods. he did the same shit for can’t forget about you
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Co sign, what the fuck is up with the over usage of Green screens in todays rap vids. It’s hilarious they got a green screen for compton and QB. Besides from the fact filming in your own hood would be cheaper than using a green screen, I thought Game had all his “Black Wall Street” niggas in Compton. Nas should take a trip back to QB sometime before these green screens he’s already used eat into the budget for his next album.
Nas is dumb, like FuriousStylz said at this point theres no use puting out a video like this, since it’s unlikely it’ll generate any more sales or interest for the album. Nas should have just put out the “Black Republicans” video and called it a day. That video would def generate a couple k’s to add to the total album sales, just cause of the fact that Jay and Nas in the same video.
is it just me, or is joell ortiz way overrated as a lyricist?
i mean i like what dude stands for, but can he spit with the best? i doubt it… metaphors are decent at best… flow is kinda lame….
Nas is the the f*ckin realest.
…
Joell Ortiz needs someone like what Fat Joe was to Pun. Then he’ll blow up like the world trade. Dr. Dre ? … i duno , not a good combination I think , we’ll see

i dont know why people are going crazy over this song. The song is just “okay”.. it could’ve been better. Its an over hyped Dre beat.
They should’v made a video for “y u hate the game”… that song is much better.
