I think most hardcore rappers start off their careers by telling us truthful non-fiction stories of the hood life they’ve lived! The reason why most of them started rappin in the first place is to leave the hood and make successful life for themselves and their families. When and if they make some money, get some fame and move from the hood, the themes of their stories are changed forever. No more drug selling, gun fights, beatdowns, etc. Instead of telling the stories truthful to their new lives as successful businessmen & family men, most of them seem obligated to continue telling us the hood stories anyway. ^Fair assessment. Those old G-Unit tapes are classics. I like this track though. Not his best as far as street music, but he definitely made a solid effort. If the future are better than this, then it’ll be a good look. I’d really like to see the old 50 emerge.

^Sheeeeit, you aint never lied! Just went to my advisor yesterday to make sure I’m on the right path. Gonna take some summer courses so that I can get up outta there by next summer. I’m not rushing it, but not tryin’ to prolong it either. Persuasive paper, huh? Coincidentally I have a persuasive SPEECH to give on gentrification for my COMM 131 class. That shit is due in two weeks. On the realz though, I haven’t been doin’ jack shit in that class for the most part and passin’. Not high scores, but still gettin’ by. I freestyled my last two speeches: 1st one was instructional, the 2nd was informative (the informative is a prequel to the persuasive). Being that persuasive is more opiniated, I’m just gonna go up there and give my random ass perspective for about 7 or 8 minutes. I’m takin’ way too many credits to dedicate too much time for any class.
