I caught the last couple of minutes of this last night. Russell: “If I see a crime, I’m telling!”
I think it’s interesting how this renewed interest by the media in the “stop snitchin” movement suddenly popped off at the same time that hip-hop is under heavy fire from all sides. Other than Andersen Cooper’s report, has anything happened recently that this is suddenly a prime time issue? As far as I’ve noticed, the whole stop snitchin’ thing was starting to die down. The t-shirts were less prominent and I haven’t heard much about it in recent music.

I Posted this a couple days ago but I put a few words in there that made it unable to go threw eskay’s moderation so I dug it up & edited a few words out so I can re-post it, enjoy.
I can’t speak for the rest of america, but I know for a fact that the reason why people don’t snitch in baltimore is the lack of witness protection. Why snitch on a nigga when the police isn’t gonna protect you? A weeknd stay at hotel 6 isnt protection either, hell they don’t even take there “key†witnesses out of baltimore. People don’t snitch cause they fear retaliation. In 2002 a woman wit 4 or 5 kids (I forget) got her house cocktail bombed cause she was calling the boys on local @rug %ealers, the fire killed everyone in that house, where was her protection? It’s been plenty of times when we be on the block grinding & the po po would pull up & say “yeah you know ray ray snitching†or they would pick a dude up & drive him around the hood in the front seat, real talk, so how could they expect someone to cooperate with the police if something serious goes down. I don’t fuck wit police, I don’t cooperate wit police, & prolly never will. That is all

Think about this for a second: If you actually adhered to what the community was sayin’… got the dealers off the street… and made the neighborhood somewhat decent… then how are the investors (read: uber rich white people) gonna buy up the property? They figure that if the people are scared to say somethin’, then they will either a.) gather up their savings (if they have any) and move away, b.) get on Section 8 and get moved to some misc. West Bumblefuck burb, or c.) get murked for tellin’. Multiply that with the notorious Bmore PD (they were in a article last year along with NYPD for lyin’ about murder statistics), the “new” gang problems, and the lack of community structure (nobody gives a FUCK about you in Bmore), and that equals destruction waitin’ to happen.

America is a racist country. How many times did they say that the hip hoppers are makin lots of money because of this? I feel for the young black youth. They express the drama they go through, and have been going through in their lyrics, and have been for years. Now they’re having the finger pointed at them. These motherfuckers are mad because the black man is making money. I said it b4. Its now only coming to light because of this. Stop snitching has been a mind frame for years. Why are they kickin up dust over it now? Because the rich white kids are now listening to rap muzik more than ever. They’re moms is hearing the shit and this makes them mad. I reckon that the majority of people that watch Ophra is white. So I reckon that that is why she is bytching about the lyrics, because her fans that watch the show are writing to complain. The lyrics of rap haven’t changed as far as content. So why are they bytchin now? Because its making shit loads of money and lil white kids are listening to it and they’re parents dont like that shit.
I think Russell is a very smart man. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone was to shoot him. I hope this never happens, but I wouldn;t be surprised!!

The crazy thing of all this is….most will automatically look at the gunperson as if they were wrong. I think it’s time in society we address the issues like: why would they do this? Were they pushed to the limit? etc. etc. it doesnt excuse what happened but in a society like we live in….the righteous and weak are preyed upon and everyone has a phsychological limit. And having gone thru what I have gone thru and continually have to deal with…when someone starts firing shots or walks in the job and starts killing people because they are under psychological duress…I dont condone it…but I understand…..most of the savages in this society have no clue as to how their unneccesary narcisistic actions effect those around them….
Just felt like giving my two cents…..
Here’s another 2 cent….this was another set up. This kid was under mind control, he was on “drugs”. Dont laugh…the gov’t has done it on a regular basis. Anyone that has attended a college/university knows its damn near impossible to kill 23,24 students….let alone 33 deaths. The university sent out contradicting emails supposedly “warning” the students..think(9-11 CNN reporter on a roof top reported that one of the towers was falling and actually gave the time it fell…problem was…you could clearly see the towers in the background and he was like 10 mins early…how’d he know? Dont believe anything I have to say, the footage is out there and most of us actually watched it but were so in awe of what was happening we missed it)
This is all about keeping control and bringing the New world Order into effect. If the masses are in a controlled chaos that “they” are starting…it’s easier to convince the masses that tougher laws are needed. Let them take your dna to see if people are “pre disposed” to violence…you all will have no privacy, chips in your hands and the works…disgusting actually…

(CBS/AP) An elementary school in suburban Fort Worth was evacuated for more than an hour Tuesday morning after a fourth-grader showed up with a hand grenade, authorities said.
The grenade still had the pin in it, but it was later determined to be “inert and safe,†school district spokeswoman Julie Thannum said. A bomb squad was called in to remove it from a classroom.
CBS station KTVT in Dallas was told that the child got the grenade as a souvenir from someone who had recently returned from Iraq.
“The boy wasn’t mad at anyone,†Cpl. Mike Bedrich of the Southlake Department of Public Safety told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper. “He just thought it would be cool to bring it to school.â€
School staff and 530 students were allowed to return to Old Union Elementary School a little over an hour later.
Thannum declined to say if any action would be taken against the student.
