yeah dude got shot in the face in a robbery attempt about a month ago i think. yola useta be on grand hustle (didn’t last long) but supposedly he had some differences with the label and now he’s strictly on atlantic. imo i havent heard anything from him that’s better than ain’t gon let up. simple song but something about it is real catchy and it was the lil atlanta anthem last summer. i useta have a yola mixtape but i gotta find it. its probably in my car. if i find it i’ll import on my computer and send it to you.

the brother ali post is a good look. “freedom ain’t free” off his new album is one of the better songs I’ve heard all year. there are a couple tracks off “shadows on the sun” (his debut) that still impress me. this video is good, but it doesn’t capture ali’s ferocity on the mic, which he is definitely well capable of.
