This track is exactly what I expect: hard lyrics, retarded beat, and probably a pushed back album

lol labels been shitting on the lox they whole career.

Is the lox signed to koch?
Today styles>jadakiss
^Nah, only Styles and Sheek can do solo albums over there because they don’t have any contractual obligations to Interscope as solo artists. Jada still signed to Interscope as a solo artist. And the group, LOX, is still signed as a group act over there too.
And I agree. Back in my teens I woulda said Jada > Styles. But Styles definitely took that spot now.
^Damn, that’s actually pretty close. If you could get just Beans, Free, and Crakk to do an album together than they MIGHT have a chance. But We Are the Streets is one of my top group albums ever.

***True, I’m just shitting on the Lox, because their name is easy to rhyme with other shit, lol
Yo Whats good Nahright………..Its about time for a Lox album its been like 8years since We Are the Streets………….Yo I wrote a short interesting piece on the Va Tech shooter, click my name and read it and then let me know what you think. >>Top Ever???? No way, do duos not count in your group equation
^See, a group and duo is just a difference of one extra person. So, not to count duos, yes, one of my favorite albums. Duos included? I don’t know. M.O.P’s Warriorz would be highly ranked though.
>>Stay Puft Marshmallow Man (No Ghostride the whip) > State Prop and their fans
^If all the members get on their dean, SP3 will be one of the best group albums to drop in a minute. Guaranteed.

They didn’t mind him scolding Don Imus, but hip hop’s moguls are bristling now that Rev. Al Sharpton is telling them to watch their mouths.
As he prepares to welcome Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards and Eliot Spitzer to this week’s National Action Network convention, Sharpton tells us he plans to use the four-day conclave to deliver a thundering jeremiad against offensive rap.
“We’re going to warn the music industry they’re next,” says Shapton. “I’m going to tell them my momma wasn’t no ho, and my daughters ain’t no bitches!”
But don’t expect the music men to sit still for his sermon. Even as Sharpton kicks off his convention tomorrow morning, Jay-Z, Diddy, Jermaine Dupri and other urban-music honchos will be huddling at a meeting that Hip Hop Summit Action Network heads Russell Simmons and Benjamin Chavis are having at the home of Warner Music CEO Lyor Cohen. Also expected are top execs like Chris Lighty, Steve Stoute, Craig Kallman, Kevin Lyles and Steve Rifkind.
“Some of these people see Sharpton as an opportunist,” says one source involved in the planning. “He’s crying about rap lyrics. At the same time, he’s calling all the major music labels to get them to donate $50,000 apiece for a table at his convention tribute to [Island Def Jam chief] L.A. Reid.”
Simmons denies the meeting is in response to Sharpton.
“The Rev and I may disagree on this one,” he told us yesterday from Chicago, where he and Chavis had debated Sharpton and Daily News columnist Stanley Crouch on “Oprah.” “But we need talk about mentorship - not censorship.
“I’m not saying all rap is good. But most of what I hear from rappers is an honest depiction of what they know. The poet is just reflecting the truth of society.
“If [Sharpton’s] convention creates an environment to help artists take personal responsibility, then that’s good. It’s creative aggravation.”
Simmons says his group had bought two tables at the L.A. Reid gala, “but maybe we’ll give them back to the Rev and he can sell them.”
Adds Chavis: “Stanley Crouch can sit at both of them by himself.”
“We’re going to warn the music industry they’re next,†says Shapton. “I’m going to tell them my momma wasn’t no ho, and my daughters ain’t no bitches!â€
^ and after we ban bitches and hos, next step– teaching proper english and grammer to Hip Hop. the banning of the letter “Z”
this will be, decidedly- the hardest undertaking ever

Today, Cuban wrote on his blog that he’s not commenting on Crawford’s current situation. In fact, talking about officials is so off-limits in the NBA that Knicks coach Isiah Thomas stopped me in my tracks when I asked him about Crawford tonight before the Knicks played the Nets.
“Are you kidding me?†Thomas said. “No, I’m serious. I would never answer that question.â€
“No, but …†I said.
“No but, my ass,†Thomas said. “I’m not going there.â€
I’ll comment for him: If Stern wants to make a statement that his playoffs, and ultimately his Finals, will not be affected by the short temper of an official, then he should hand out a suspension for Crawford tomorrow to go along with Duncan’s fine.
It would not only be fair, but well deserved – and a long time coming.

Here’s ABC News with the identity of that crazed Asian who shot all those people at Virginia Tech yesterday.
We now know the identity of the killer at Virginia Tech.
He is Cho Seung-Hui, a 23-year-old resident alien of the United States, as first reported by ABC News.
They say he blew half his face off when he killed himself, but they were able to match the fingerprints on the gun to his immigration info. Sum Yung Ho, or whatever his name was, was a senior at Virginia Tech, where he was majoring in English of all things.
It’s yet to be made clear why exactly he went all ape shit yesterday, other than the fact that I’m sure he spent quite a bit of time playing video games like Gears of War. (I’ll fucking put money on that shit.)
Word on the street is that Ho showed up to the engineering building, where 31 of the 33 victims were killed, looking for his girlfriend, presumably to kill her or perhaps to coerce her into some Pimp C-style sex-at-gunpoint. But come to think of it, I’m pretty sure I only heard that on the Sean Hannity program, so it could all be just be a buncha speculation.
And let’s face it, this guy almost certainly didn’t have a girlfriend. He was probably planning on offing himself anyway and figured he’d head over to the engineering building for his one last shot at scoring - the thought being that perhaps one of the co-eds there would see how many people he killed and would suddenly be compelled to drop down to her knees and begin blowing him.

Yet Imus and hip-hop really don’t have much in common. Imus was host of a radio show that focused on the real news of the day, while hip-hop is a fictionalized form of cultural expression. Imus is real, featuring real guests and humor based on real topics. However loudly hip-hop might claim to be real, it is not real; it is a form of representation. This is why so few rappers use the names on their birth certificates when performing. Rappers are in essence characters performing a fictional life. Though the culture is rooted in the notion and style of authenticity, it is decidedly fictional. If not, the cops could arrest every rapper who talks about selling drugs or killing someone in his or her lyrics. So we should be judging hip-hop the same way we judge a novel, a movie, or a television show, and to do so means we have to afford hip-hop the same latitude we afford any other form of artistic expression.
Fock this. Its 60 outside and not a cloud in the sky. As much as I’d like to shoot the breeze wit yall whippersnappers, I’m bout to crank the sounds around the hood AKA bend some corners.
I wasnt going to touch this, I am not positively sure but one of these guys singing might be the shooter, allegedly. I think the dude was very depressed for a number of reasons i.e. No Pets allowed on Campus(Ask Belize),Dance Dance Revolution was removed from the school arcade and the most important reason was that his “Karoake Partner” from the above video had dumped him and decided to move on solo. All these things led to the Young Chow Yun Fat unloading clip after clip and roundhouse after dropkick. The whole ordeal was a crushing blow to a family that already had lost both parents in a Liquor store shooting(I see you O-Dogg). I think this tragedy has taught the American people that white boys are not the only ones blasting up buildings(exclude the black shooter Lee Boyd Malvo,he was anally raped aka executioned [I see you Bernard Hopkins]and therefore not considered black anymore)so this is the actual first case of a non-cracka shooting up a school; that means not only do you have to look around for crazy whites but pretty much all races at this point are capable of doing damage of catastrophic porportions, I am most definetly saying goodbye to racial profiling. Are You?

I WAS READING IN VA. YOU NEED NOTHING TO GET A GUN NO WAITING PERIOD NO NOTHING, I THINK I EVEN SAW MINORS COULD BUY GUNS ( NOT SURE I SAW IT LAAATE LAST NIGHT BUT I’M PRETTY SURE THATS WHAT I SAW )
THE THING IS NORMALLY SELLING GUNS DOESNT MATTER CAUSE PEOPLE WHO BUY GUNS LEGALLY TEND NOT TO USE THOSE GUNS IN CRIMES ( UNLESS THEY ARE REALLY DUMB OR PLAIN ON BLOWING THEIR FACE OFF AFTERWARDS )

Imus shouldn’t give hip-hop a bad rap
By Todd Boyd
Special to Page 2
Now that disgraced radio talk-show host Don Imus has been booted, can we finally get down to some “real talk” about the multiple issues embedded in this racial theater? There is a lot to sort through here, but after a week of debate centered around “nappy-headed hos,” half-assed apologies, cries of censorship, and a curmudgeonly shock jock’s lame attempt at being funny, many pundits have moved beyond the core issue and now are talking about the perceived double standard they feel exists between what Imus said and what often comes from the mouths of rappers.

Don Imus lost his job for using words that are commonplace in hip-hop culture.

***I wonder if this VT shooter is gonna become some kind of Asian subculture hero? Like a gangsta ass Asian dude, or some shit…
^^The Scarface of Asians everywhere…Tony Montasaki?
Rappers have long been held accountable because of their speech. For people who do not really pay attention to hip-hop, but only focus on stereotypes of the culture, this is something they might not be aware of. Here are but a few examples: In 1990, The 2 Live Crew was arrested, taken to court and eventually acquitted on obscenity charges. In 1992, then-presidential candidate Bill Clinton blasted rapper Sista Souljah and her lyrics, comparing Souljah’s words to that of former Klansman David Duke. Ice T’s single “Cop Killer” was deleted from the album “Body Count” and his band bearing the same name as the album was dropped by Time Warner because of the controversial song. William Bennett and the late C. Delores Tucker prompted congressional hearings on the impact of gangsta rap music in 1994, hearings that eventually lead to Time Warner selling its shares in Interscope Records and its rap subsidiary Death Row Records. Jennifer Lopez came under fire for her use of the n-word in the remix to her song “I’m Real” in 2001. A Nelly concert planned for Spelman College in 2004 was canceled because some of the women at this historically black woman’s college felt his video for the song “Tip Drill” was demeaning to black women. Jadakiss received a great deal of heat for his rhetorical question “Why did Bush knock down the towers?” on his 2004 single “Why? ”
The point is, hip-hop history is replete with examples of the culture being challenged over its lyrical content, in the court of public opinion as well as in the real halls of justice. To say that hip-hop has received a free pass on its language and sexual politics is simply uninformed and ignores the ongoing heated debate that has been raging for some time now on hip-hop’s societal impact. I mean, who hasn’t heard about Bill Cosby’s senile rants against hip-hop the past few years? Critics of hip-hop are a dime a dozen these days.

RESUME TO YOUR NORMALLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM
****I get your angle, and I’ve made a few ninja throwing star jokes myself (head down in shame), but it’s overkill (no pun) to keep emphasizing race, here….truth is, anybody can go out like those kids @ VT….whether the shooter was Asian, white, black, whatever, has no bearing on the situation…..
Possible Motive
The motives of the gunman remain unclear, though the British tabloid Daily Mail reported that the shooter at the dormitory “was said to have quarreled in a dormitory with his girlfriend, whom he believed had been seeing another man. An RA was called but the shooter produced a gun and killed both his girlfriend and the RA.”[23] However, this theory is contradicted by a report in the Washington Post, which seems to indicate that the assailant was not the boyfriend of the girl, but rather someone else.[4]
According to reports, professors in the English department have described his creative writing as so disturbing that he was referred to the University’s counseling service. In addition, he recently showed troubling signs, including setting a fire in a dorm room and stalking some women. Investigators believe that he was taking medication for depression. In a note left in his dorm room he laid out a rambling list of grievances in which he railed against “rich kids,” “debauchery” and “deceitful charlatans” on campus.[24].
Professor Carolyn Rude, chairwoman of the university’s English department, said she did not personally know the gunman. But she said she spoke with Lucinda Roy, the department’s director of creative writing, who had Cho in one of her classes and described him as “troubled.”
“There was some concern about him,” Rude said. “Sometimes, in creative writing, people reveal things and you never know if it’s creative or if they’re describing things, if they’re imagining things or just how real it might be. But we’re all alert to not ignore things like this.”
She said Cho was referred to the counseling service, but she said she did not know when, or what the outcome was. Rude refused to release any of his writings or his grades, citing privacy laws.[25]
According to reports, Cho left a “disturbing note” criticizing “rich kids”, “debauchery”, and “deceitful charlatans” before killing two people in a dormitory room.[8] Two hours later, he then crossed the campus to continue his rampage in a classroom building.[4] Police identified Cho by matching fingerprints on the guns used in the shootings with immigration materials.[4] The words “Ismail Ax” were found inscribed on his arm in red ink
^^ What the fuck is that all about….
This piece of shit was really fucked up in the head…
that wiki entry seems alot like more civer your ass tactics. “we always knew he was crazy”
but– In a note left in his dorm room he laid out a rambling list of grievances in which he railed against “rich kids,†“debauchery†and “deceitful charlatans†on campus.[
^ i think that settles he does not listen to hip hop, which is after all, all about rich kids, debauchery and decietful charlatans. Plus- hip hop doesnt use such big words.
i saw on the news last night about that VTU shit that the students were pissed that nobody used the intercomm to tell them there was a gunman on campus. i wonder why nobody did that…
====
I just don’t understand how Seung had a full two hours to chill after his first shooting. What the fuck was Virginia Tech doing letting their students go to class after the first shooting was at 7 in the morning??? And the police were on some other shit showing up 2.5 hrs later. smh.
^ i think that settles he does not listen to hip hop, which is after all, all about rich kids, debauchery and decietful charlatans. Plus- hip hop doesnt use such big words.
***LOL…to me, it looks like dude had a hard time adusting, and rich kids on campus (majority of VT, believe me) just looked @ him as a weird, foreign kid, and ostracized him….that doesn’t justify his actions, but clearly folks were aware that he wasn’t playing with a full deck….remember that Michael Douglass movie, Falling Down, where some trivial shit (forgot what it was), was the catalyst for him going on a murderous rampage throughout downtown LA?

but this comment caught my attention:
“I’d rather hear Scarface, Beans, and Styles do an entire album together”
that would be the deepest, hardest, best, thuggest, saddest, realest, etc etc etc album in the history of mankind.
Yo when I was in College and I used to the Creative Writing thing(No QUASI) I used to write some wild shit and no one ever brought it up to me ………I used to write shit about the Mexican Mob and Gully Palestinians and shit, never did my professor bring it to my attention
^ i think that settles he does not listen to hip hop, which is after all, all about rich kids, debauchery and decietful charlatans. Plus- hip hop doesnt use such big words.
^^I don’t think Hip-hop has used a word bigger than “Ohio” since 1989…
Tell me this review of “Falling Down” doesn’t sound like the VT kid….
Roger Ebert, who gave the film a positive review at the time of its release, stated of William “D-Fens” Foster:
“What is fascinating about the Douglas character, as written and played, is the core of sadness in his soul. Yes, by the time we meet him, he has gone over the edge. But there is no exhilaration in his rampage, no release. He seems weary and confused, and in his actions he unconsciously follows scripts that he may have learned from the movies, or on the news, where other frustrated misfits vent their rage on innocent bystanders.”
yeah the whole response system was way more fucked up than it shoulda been… nobody was alerted there was a dude wit a gun on campus thru the loud speaker. i heard the school sent emails to everybody about it, but by the time they sent em out the second round had already begun. i saw on the news that they had someone reportin on security at UConn here in CT and they have these telephones all around campus that you can call 911 from and it said that cops will respond in 90 seconds… and you said it took 5-0 two hours? the whole VTU situation got fucked the fuck up.
The school knows they fucked up big time with their whole response system, but they defintely ain’t going to come out and say it right now, not right after 30 people just died…
Them punks are going to cover it up until it settles down, like months from now, and say they might have handle things differently…
come on now, everybody pretty much is questioning their response system, so you shoulda done something else…
yeah, the first call to 911 was placed at 7:15 and 911 had to be called again 2.5 hours later. Po-po was thinking it was some domestic dispute I think after the first call so they didn’t take it as serious. Blackburgh police should be held accountable for that.

Jim Jones’ emotionless beat > any beat Jay Z has had on his cd after BluePrint 2
Yall are gonna let me put some sounds in ya whips one of these days.
Public Service Announcement, Kingdom Come, Oh My God, Beach Chair (yesss), Show Me What You Got, Black Republican (count it–you know Nas would never have picked that beat on his own) > Emotionless
Jim Jones can’t rap, Juelz Santana has the worst metaphors I’ve ever heard, the beat was good–but not Outlandish Comment good–, and I know Hov has used a billion BIG lines over his career, but his placement was always good.. Jim Jones ripping off “been on the low lately…” was just awful.

ANYTIME YOU MENTION MUSIC AND WE SAY IT SUCKS YOU TALK ABOUT HOW ILL THE BEATS ARE AND THATS WHY YOU LIKE THEM, NOW I HAVE NO ISSUE WITH THAT BUT JUST CURIOUS HOW YOU LIKE MOST MUSIC SOLELY ON BEATS AND SOMEHOW YOU ARE ONE OF THE BIGGEST CAN-I-BUS STANS ON EARTH CAUSE THAT DUDE HAS THE SINGLE WORST BEAT SELECTION IN RAP HISTORY ( OK WELL PRETTY CLOSE ATLEAST )

Ty, The way I judge music is by either beats rhymes or image. obviously canibus who has mastered lyrics so I can look past his beat seletion most of the times. Jewels, Jim and Cam arent the best with they lyrical ability but there beat seletion is some of the best, ie Santanas first cd. Another example is Master P. He isnt the best lyrisit but he has mastered the art of bangin beats and getting money so It shows through his music. As far as music goes you gotta give me the best of the three things mentioned. By image meanig I can see a little bit of me in them (no homo)

War of words for Rev. Al & rap execs
Tuesday, April 17th 2007, 4:00 AM

T.Boyd was like:
So we should be judging hip-hop the same way we judge a novel, a movie, or a television show, and to do so means we have to afford hip-hop the same latitude we afford any other form of artistic expression.
and I was like chea. whut it do peoples.

I wasnt going to touch this, I am not positively sure but one of these guys singing might be the shooter, allegedly. I think the dude was very depressed for a number of reasons i.e. No Pets allowed on Campus(Ask Belize),Dance Dance Revolution was removed from the school arcade and the most important reason was that his “Karoake Partner†from the above video had dumped him and decided to move on solo. All these things led to the Young Chow Yun Fat unloading clip after clip and roundhouse after dropkick.

WORD TO TODD BOYD
AP Photo/David Karp
Don Imus lost his job for using words that are commonplace in hip-hop culture.

MORE WORDS OF WISDOM FROM TODD BOYD :

April 17th, 2007 at 1:38 pm
@ Ill Change
yeah, the first call to 911 was placed at 7:15 and 911 had to be called again 2.5 hours later. Po-po was thinking it was some domestic dispute I think after the first call so they didn’t take it as serious. Blackburgh police should be held accountable for that.

Emotionless was corny.

By image meanig I can see a little bit of me in them (no homo)
cd’s that have none of the three
KC
HHID
F&L
Mo fish
cd’s that have one or more of the three
fish scale: lyrics
hustlers pome: beats
ROTM: beats
Waiting to inhale: beats and image
Rich boy: image
Jeezy: beats and image
