WAIT A MINUTE: It was reported in today’s Boston Herald (not Globe - get it right) that a jailed Brooklyn man is expected to be charged in the murder of Jam Master Jay. Career criminal Ronald Tinard Washington has been linked to the JMJ murder in the past, and hip-hop cop Derrick Parker told UWN last year Jam Master Jay’s killer was present at his funeral. THE REAL DEAL: In the Boston Herald story, it was mysteriously reported that “Washington is expected to be named in the Mizell and Walker cases when the federal government unveils a sweeping indictment charging multiple rap artists for a slew of violent acts, several law enforcement sources said.” Last week the media came down on hip-hop content; is the Federal government next in line to extend the assault on our culture?
