Judging by the culminated responses, this masterful effort, this pristine submission to the vast plane of human creativity has missed its marked. I don't believe however, it is do so much to the poor marksmanship of the rifleman--as it can be attributed to the incompetency of the target. To not see that Canibus's irrecusable body of work (to include this lastest effort) evidences "genius at work" is to deny one's own ability to perceive brilliance, to behold a master craftsman whose devotion is second to none. Canibus like no other MC before him has altered the game, changed what master of ceremonies means. Canibus does with words what what Newton did with numbers, what Michelangelo did with paint, what Da Vinci did with ideas. Pry yourselves from the club-banging, trunk rattling, "my ice", "my chicks", "my money", "my whips" garbarge, that has inundated mainstream Hip Hop and transformed it into "Hip POP", and perhaps, you'll realize the difference between entertainers and true "artist", the difference between commercialism and originality, Canibus and everyone else.
