Rare Biggie Pics
A gentleman from the RockPop Gallery put me on to these rare Biggie prints that they’re offering for sale on their website. I’ve seen some of these before, but some I’m seeing for the first time. They were taken by photographer George Dubose in Bed Stuy back when Big was only 19, right before he blew like the World Trade. Go here and read the story behind them.

“I mean, come on,” said LeBron James, the Cavaliers’ star forward whose Nikes cost at least 10 times the price of Marbury’s wallet-friendly Starburys. “This city deserves a playoff team. It doesn’t make sense for them to have all that talent and not be able to make the playoffs.”
Before the game, James took a little shot at Marbury’s $14.98 kicks, saying he couldn’t imagine endorsing a sneaker that cheap.
“No, I don’t think so,” James said. “Me being with Nike, we hold our standards high.”
Marbury, who is friendly with James, was lacing up his Starburys before the game when informed of LeBron’s comment. He thought about it for a moment and said, “I’d rather own than be owned.”

Smh @ the El-p ad saying 9 days and such and such hours….when I had it 9 days ago and still haven’t listened to it. Esk Jay-Z spit a sub par verse on that rihanna track…after hearing the Ne-yo and asap joint I thought he was focused…yeah I understand asap verse was recorded months ago…a lot of subliminal in the rihanna verse though.

depends on what you mean by copped…I’ve listened to it all the way through I might add…in all actuality it isn’t as bad as the internet people will have you think or that single. I don’t know though you might have liked the single…you are hereby forewarned that’s the only song on their like that. The rest is just average nothing to rewind…its just a new age rap album…I can’t even remember a hook or tight bar.

Hell no these pics are’nt rare Eskizzle.
All of these photos were used in the Biggie biography ‘Unbelievable’. There were also photos of Biggie and The Snakes and Trife and Larceny sittin on the front of his stoop in St James with Biggie holdin a Glock to Trife’s head.
$1,250 for some pics is a decent wedge though.

^^I actually liked that track and Jada and Joe who were in that were’nt even beefing with 5-0 at the time. 5-0 made it his business to beef with them just for the simple fact that they were in a video with Ja. To me Two Times, even though you a G-Unit stan to the Nth degree, that is some bitchmade shit and I’m sure you can even admit that.

that song was bangin… even though wack-ass Ja Rule was on it… It was tight
But fuck that, that video was polictical move, saying everybody in the video was against 50… it’s plain and simple
The head of Universal warned Jada not to get on that track, but he refused…
Ja clearly dissed him on the song, saying “5, your no longer desired, take off that silly chain, and put back on that wire..”
And Jada & Joe, they talk like their street, basically co-signed with Ja on that, and stood with him…
Everybody on that shit was against 50:
Terror Squad
Murder Inc.
D-Block
J.Prince/Rap-a-lot
Blackhand
Jim Jones
etc…

He gotta go after somebody, he has to, just to get the street buzz. I thought it would Cam/Dipset because there the ones blowing up, especially Jimmy….
But I really don’t know, I don’t understand why de don’t make some shit, like ‘Back Down’ for Game…
When the massacre came out, he was going for the throats of NY’s (during that time) most famous, like Jada,Joe, Nas, Ja Rule….. I’d figure he try to do that this time, but I really don’t know….
But I do think he should defintely put some diss songs on his album….
March 29th, 2007 at 10:20 pm

But I do think he should defintely put some diss songs on his album….
^^Why Two Times? You think he ain’t intelligent enough to conceptualise an album based on good lyrics rather than havin to release shit aimed at other niggas? Cos that is wack straight up and down. Why can’t 5-0, if he’s as good as you say he is, release a Only Built for Cuban Linx typa album or a 36 Chambers with a theme runnin through it? Why can’t he do that rather than have a collection of diss songs and a collection of singin r&b joints? Answer : Cos he fell the fuck off. Yo I ain’t gonna call you out on anything Two Times, you’re cool with me but sometimes you just gotta take the ‘Stan hat’ off and admit when you’re favourite rapper is shite…….

Yo, E, I totally understand you homie… I’m saying he might have to put diss somebody so that gets a street buzz and he can sell another 10 million…
But who knows he might sell another 10 million without dissing anybody or he might sell 1 million dissing everybody…
Im not saying he’s right/wrong for doing it… I just think it fits his formula of taking out his beefs on record….
And all the people 50 beefed with, they actually came out against him first in sometype of way…
Come on E, if BIG was here, all these dudes would be trying to get at him too, until he would shut him the fuck up with some tight shit….Or send D-Roc & Wolf after them…lol
March 29th, 2007 at 10:34 pm
Why can’t he do that rather than have a collection of diss songs and a collection of singin r&b joints? Answer : Cos he fell the fuck off.
^ Your actually kinda right… He has let up since the days of “Many Men” or “Back Down” but I think he still has it in…
March 29th, 2007 at 10:45 pm
Come on E, if BIG was here, all these dudes would be trying to get at him too
^^Yo lets have it right Two Times, if Big was here he would’nt have to build any album hype off of a beef. Case in point, the Tupac beef, not once did Big feed in to that, some may argue Who Shot Ya was a diss record, even if it was it was a classic. Biggie built his album hype off of lyrical brilliance and bangin tracks. All I’m sayin is that if you have to build hype via beef then it shows you’re lacking as an emcee.
My actual favourite 50 verse is on the Victory remix with Biggie
Yo, yo, we can’t stay alive forever (yeah)
So if shit hit the fan then we might as well die together
I’m high as ever, more hoes and more cheddar (yeah)
G-Unit move around with them pounds and berretas
He flows tight on that shit.
March 29th, 2007 at 10:52 pm
Biggie built his album hype off of lyrical brilliance and bangin tracks.
All I’m sayin is that if you have to build hype via beef then it shows you’re lacking as an emcee.
^ True, but you act like 50 makes nothing but diss songs…GRODT & Beg for Mercy was full of bangers that had no disses in them…
Yeah he may have had beefs, that he talked about during the promo of the album, he still had hits to back it up….
If BIG, was here he and Jay would be running shit, I think BIG would have jumped in on the Jay/Nas beef on behalf of Hov…
All I know is that if Frank White was around, there would be rappers dissing him, trying to come for the throne, and he would have to address them on the album, which in some way would promo for the album…
March 29th, 2007 at 10:53 pm

50 = good crew leader, but bad label head.
March 29th, 2007 at 10:57 pm
True, but you act like 50 makes nothing but diss songs…GRODT & Beg for Mercy
^^Yo I’m the first to agree, GRODT is a classic, hands down, no argument. And he did have hits to back it up. After that though I feel as though he fell off and the only way he could get a buzz, which still existed because of GRODT, was to beef with niggas. He did not back up the beef with any hit on The Massacre apart from Rider Music.
All I know is that if Frank White was around, there would be rappers dissing him, trying to come for the throne
^’This goes out to those that choose to use direspectful views on the King of NY’
^Taken for Kick in the Door on Life After Death. Niggas was gunnin for him after Ready to Die, that line was addressed to Nas, Pac was gunnin for him, The Outlawz was gunnin for him but he kept shit subliminal cos he did’nt want to give these niggas promo by sayin their names. To me that is G. I’m just sayin in no way did Big or 50 carry themselves in the same way.

from AHH (I know, I don’t care either, but w/e, w/e):
Former Roc-A-Fella Records crooner Rell was one of three men arrested in a drug sting in Calhoun County, South Carolina yesterday (Mar. 29).
Rell, born Wilbur Gerrell Gaddis, was arrested after Postal Service agents intercepted a package containing 50 pounds of marijuana in Columbia, SC.
Agents allowed the package to be delivered to a home in Saint Matthews, SC, where police arrested Rell and two associates.
Rell, 30, originally hails from Bowman, SC, but listed a New Jersey residence at the time of his arrest.
All three men were charged with conspiracy to traffic marijuana.
Rell was the first male R&B singer signed to Roc-A-Fella Records.
He first appeared in Jay-Z’s movie Streets Is Watching and contributed the single “Love For Free” to the movie’s soundtrack.
He also appeared on “The Message” featuring Mary J. Blige, from Dr. Dre’s album 2001.
While signed to Roc-A-Fella, Rell also recorded with artists like Kanye West, Consequence, Young Gunz, Beanie Sigel and others.

^You think so, the report says he was wit two other dudes one of them could take the fall & it could be loop holes in the police report. Even if he gets time it won’t be federal, it’s only weed, now if it was any other CDS then fed time would be a must, but since it was just bud he’ll be bidding wit the knuckle heads. Depending on what type of record he got he might help him or hurt him. I still think he’s not gonna go to jail & if he does he wont do more than 3 years

JOE - NO WAY TO AVOID THE FEDERAL CHARGE ANYCRIME INVOLVING MAIL IS A FEDERAL CRIME POINT BLANK PER-IOD, EVEN IF THEY TAKE THE BLAME FOR HIM THEY CAN STILL HIT HIM WITH A CONSPIRACY CHARGE ( WHICH BRINGS THE SAME CHARGES WITHOUT THE SAME DEMAND TO PROVE GUILT ) AND THEY FOLLOWED THE PACKAGE AND EVERYTHING ONCE ITS SIGNED FOR THERES NO WAY TO WEASEL YOUR WAY OUT OF IT AND THEY EVEN KNOW WHERE IT ORIGNATED FROM THEY CAN PROVE HE WAS INVLOVED IN THE PROCESS OF CONSPIRACY TO MAIL/RECIEVER 50 P’S OF WEED
AND 50 P’S IS 50 P’S IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT DRUG THATS A HEAVY MOVE TO BE MAKING ALOT OF MONEY TO BE MADE WITHOUT THE GOV’T GETTING A CUT ( THEY DONT LIKE THAT )

Young Buck and Kiss light it up together. Heads have been so preoccupied with the Yayo incident, that a whole lot has been falling on deaf ears. After briefly addressing his peace treaty with Game [Watch Here] during an interview with Angie Martinez on New York’s Hot 97 radio station, Buck Marley told listeners that he bumped into Jadakiss in Las Vegas during All-Star weekend. [Listen Here] “The same weekend I ran into Game, I ran into Jada,” Buck told Angie during the interview. “Homeboy was like, I ain’t tripping, man. I’m about getting to the money. Matter fact, we put a couple of them in the air. We paid tribute to Bob Marley if ya’ll know what I’m talking about… and kept it moving.”
^^^^^^
Something is up with Buck, maybe he’s tryin to mend some briges, anyone know how many ablums buck has on his deal? Or maybe just coz he’s got his own lable now. He has always been a bit diff from the rest of the clones

and I actaully like Buck for the record (No Do You Like Me Check Yes or No Middle School Note)

…. rhyming is not mandatory, a great poet (mc) can make the cadence rhyme, in lieu of the words rhyming … Prodigy does it and Common used to do it earlier in his career … that takes even more creativity if done right …

No rhyming in there, but you have to admit that is a classic line. P got away with it there. I guess you have to come with a strong line that says somthing to do that. Make you go..”wow”. As far as his other stuff that does not rhyme, I could careless.

^Agreed. Styles P also gets away with it because of his cadence and flow. I’m not sayin’ that it’s for everybody because certain MC’s make better songs when they got words rhyming perfectly over the beat. After listening to Philly’s flow over the last 7 years, I’m startin’ to appreciate East artists goin’ out of the A-A-B-B rhyme bracket. Freeway is a prime example.

co-sign. And its not like P’s trying to be creative or anything too. Imagine lyricists like Rakim, Jay, Nas, Krs going a few bars without rhyming anything. They’d get shitted on beyond belief…no Notorious skit. They’d never hear the end of it.
