I remember him being in the Bassment with Tig and the only thing he was concerned about was battlin’ Drag-On because people were sayin’ that they had similar styles. His first album actually had some levels of consciousness on a street level that was respectable. After the weight loss/IBS/death of his pops, dude aint been the same. And don’t help that he got a stable of flunkies in his corner.

***Run-DMC was never my forte, either…even as a youth, I fucked with Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five harder (extreme no homo)…the message is one of the most dynamic joints, ever…Run-DMC deserves their props, though, and maybe even a top 5 or 10 slot, because of what their popularity did to bring the culture front and center…..
