I overstand what you are saying. Truth be told, I was a little caught up in the Gillie hype until I checked out a few of his mixtapes. I couldn’t listen to any of them all the way through, however, that does not take away from the fact that he actually wrote for that dude.
I dig, but I don’t think he gave wayne a whole songs like “this shit is hot & could possibly put me back in the public’s eye, but naw wayne you can have it”. I think Wayne DID swag jacked his style i.e wearing the major figgas chain, the throwbacks etc, but him writing his whole album? That’s a hard pill to swallow (NHJIC)

We definitely have a difference of opinion. I would not rate him as a top 10. the fact that you used the fact he invented “mafioso” rap is the most telling reason why we won’t agree on this so I won’t go too much deeper. I absolutely HATE with a passion mafioso rap. I HATE emcees calling themselves mafia names. Also, the worst Jay Z line was when he said, “I never prayed to God, I prayed to Gotti”.

I couldn’t put rae in my top 10 off the strength that the rest of his career after ob4ql was mediocore at best. Micheal ray robinson was one of the best B Ball players in the 80’s for a few seasons, but will never be considered in the top 100 B Ball players because he was great for only a small period of time & the rest of his career he was average at best.
