This characterization, that these women use do define these men, is founded on a history of a consistent inability to have a serious connection with black men. The connection that I am referring to is one that is substantiated on mutual respect and growth. I therefore seriously reject any claim that defines a black man, from a black womanâ€™s prospective. Their exposure and experience with black men is dubious at best; consisting of babydaddys, Hip-Hop artists, and live-in boyfriends-with whom theyâ€™ve grown to resent. It is disturbing that a black woman could even attempt to identify with a black man enough to not only define him, but to broaden that definition to â€˜deconstructingâ€™ him. The greatest sign of immaturity in humans is their fixation on correcting everyone other than themselves. > So, Tyrone needs deconstructing? Ironically, it is women like these that raise little boys to feel inferior to women, thereby creating a vicious circle of confusion, animosity and disrespect towards the men which they inevitably will become. If these women are so strong and independent, why are their sons in prison? I wonder if these women would accept a book from two Indo-Americans entitled, â€œDeconstructing Tyiesha: Why Black Women Have Failed Miserably at Raising Their Sons?â€

Just out of curiosity, Iâ€™d like to know the statistics of feminists that loathe their fathers.

After listening to these women today, on my favorite radio station, respond to the interviewer and active listeners; one of the authors of this book ignorantly responded that the issues surrounding black women are PARALLEL to those of black men. As my blood boiled with disbelief I earnestly wondered what either of them could personally regurgitate about life for a black man. Could a man write a book about what itâ€™s like to be pregnant? (Certainly that question does not require a response)

After a question from a listener, â€˜Why is there a lack of condemnation on behalf of black women (specifically), in regards to rap and music videos surrounding hip-hop and the hip hop culture?â€ I quickly acknowledged that one of the greatest setbacks and misconceptions of the black community is their inability to separate reality from entertainment. For all of the kids and adults that listen to Hip-Hop and attempt to live their lives as they hear from someone elseâ€™s prospective and see on music videos is simply irresponsible. Why would I, a woman of color, get upset about a girl that has no other desire than to be in a music video bent over shaking her ass and licking her lips like sheâ€™s ready to give a good â€˜professionalâ€™? As if she had been forced to be the infamous â€˜video vixenâ€™? Again, the black woman is a victim and > And for the record, if getting groupies was not a prerequisite to becoming a rap artist â€“ NONE of them would do it, including the $400million-man JayZ.

And now I have a Puff-like hatred for him after he left Bossman high and dry over at Virgin. Don’t get wrong, the last 8+ tracks from Bossman I heard on HHG weren’t really impressive. But it just shows that he was just tryin’ to find the “new market” (B’more) for hip hop and it didn’t work. … that’s what scriptures say to do anyway … Bibles, Qur’ans, Torahs are all clear about giving to orphans and charities … it is not mandated anywhere in any scriptures to give money directly to the church, masjid, or synagogue you attend …

^^i go to church like 2 to 3 times a month but i tithe in other ways as well. i rarely tithe in the church unless its going directly to some type of fund to better the community. otherwise my tithes are given in donations of food, money and/or time to various community uplift projects that i get involved in.

I ALSO went to this church in my hometown where the pastor was like “the laaaawwwd saying something to me about the number 10″ he started out having everyone that had 10 dollars or multiple’s of 10 to stand in line and drop it in the bucket. i went to this church in NC like that. plus he would have a separate line and prayer for the people who could give over $100 a week. those people were called the “victorious builders” or something like that. he would call those folks to give the offering and stand up first. therefore everyone in the church could see who was giving what. then he would pray over them and their offering. then he would tell all the rest of us who couldn’t or in my case wouldn’t give that much, to stand up so he could pray over our offering. needless to say…i quickly stopped going there.

So I have a friend who runs a club here in San Diego and they stop serving food and appetizers at 9:30 but they are open till 2:00 am thursday through saturday. ^^bums are always showing up at the church i go to now. the reason for that is probably because my church is in the hood and it does a lot to get out in the surrounding community and try to help the people who are living in the area (whether in homes or in the streets).
