Mos Def’s new Tru3 Magic, the last album under his current contract with Geffen Records, arrived in stores a few weeks ago without so much as a CD booklet. It still managed to do Rhymefest numbers, but now Geffen is ordering a recall.
Supposedly they’re planning to re-release it in March with bonus tracks and new artwork. You have to wonder though if the album doesn’t include any hidden swipes at the TI’s over at Geffen a la the “tall Israeli” incident with the last album.

When you think about… unless you like/love your job… 9 to 5′s are some sad shit, lol. One third of your day around a bunch of mofos you give two shits about… you attempt to avoid work at all cause… you don’t give a fuck and willin’ to talk about anything BUT work whether you’re home or elsewhere… if you’re single, you end up fuckin’ someone at your job because of convenience and around them so often… you wait for that direct deposit around the same time every thursday night… you dread going certain places when you’re out and about because you don’t wanna bump into a co-worker… and if you do bump into them you get this sense of awkwardness and have to “explain” why you’re whereever you are… you got hear about everybody’s baby shower, funeral, retirement party, vacation, etc… 85% of the time a promotion is based on who’s liked, not work ethic… you’re gonna eventually sexually harrasss someone, but it only gets reported if you’re not liked… you sit around countin’ down the days that good ol’ pension rolls in (gov’t workers)… am I depressin’ you yet? Lol

I only do cardio 2 to 3 times a week & if u r eating right & clean u could escape with 1 to 2 times of 20 mins of cardio first thing in the a.m on an empty stomach, but if u get ur lifting on 4 to 5 days a week u will burn more fat than the cardio would, the more muscle u have the more fat u burn even when u r not working out

Everybody was around the same age and the environment was off the scale: talkin’ shit everyday… arguing with the managers… pregnant chicks fightin outside… he say/she say rumors of who’s fuckin’ who… all ranges of topics of discussion, from conspiracies and Afro-centric shit (mostly due to the ahk), to fuckin’ chicks in the buildin’… freestylin’ with the janitors… racing the palet jacks down the hall… havin’ trashball shootouts… tiffs… hollerin at shorties on lunch break… idle threats… bootleggin’ (security guard sold me some butta Timbs for 80)… no dress code (smh @ mofos walkin’ around wit’ “Stop Snitchin’” shirts in a gov’t facility)… I fucked a chick from Philly who worked wit’ us (random, I know)… scoping out new chicks that worked upstairs… downloading ringtones on illegal laptop during lunch break… man, those were the days.

My habits caught up with me: coming to work late (on purpose)… not being on the phone… leavin’ the site to move my car (didn’t want it to get towed)… friction with the old hag ass female managers… but the one that did me in was internet usage… GOOD OL’ NAHRIGHT! I… swear… to… GOD! My manager called me over to this isolated table and brought forth this log of my internet usage (because we’re only supposed to use the net on our breaks (15 mins.) and lunch (45 mins.) and I was on Nah ALL fuckin’ day. PLUS on top of the fact that she and most of the other managers didn’t like me because I spoke my mind and didn’t kiss ass which is damn near forbidden at SSA. Most of the people in there relied on that job and they can tell I didn’t want/need it. My name will forever reign supreme round that joint, lol.

^Yup. They wanted a reason to can me. And on some real shit, the only way they know if you been on there is if the managers request the log. It isn’t like the people in the IT/security dept. care about what you do.

^Sheeeeeeit… I fucks wit’ VZW. It’s the only phone company I’ve been comfortable since the first cell phone I purchased which was probably 7 years ago. I’ve had VZW for about a year now and the shit works lovely for me. I haven’t looked at that Ipod phone yet, but just for the simple fact it’s with Cingular I aint coppin’ it. I’m sure VZW will get their own version. If not, oh well, I’ll wait for some other crack. Sour D. was talkin’ about some new Blackberry, I’ll have to wait and see.

i have sprint-nextel (Whatever there calling themselves) it used to be good but lately it sucks, i have verizon for work, and i really hate it, my momz has cingular and we switched phones one morning because they are both black and she took mine, that was the worst day of my life, terrible service and no text messaging, and i couldnt remeber have of my birds numbers at that time

^The only thing I don’t like about the Pearl is that the number and letter keys share the same button. And knowin’ how fast I be textin’ I need ‘em seperate so that I don’t eff up somethin’. Even though the V I got is kinda mediocore as far as programs, I love the QWERTY keyboard on it.
