    Shit… remember 93/94 when we had Nas dropping, Big Poppa dropping, Meth dropping, Black Moon, Smif N Wessun, O.C., Keith Murray, Jeru… the list goes on. I know, I know; I’m stuck in the past and the game has changed, but shit, Sai and Pap ain’t near those levels.

    ^ i think one of the main problems today is we get over saturated with mixtapes so by the time their albums come out you’ve heard too much of these guys already and they don’t have much to say. But then again, labels keep pushing them back today. Back in the day these artist came out of nowhere and it was like, wow!! Pap been out for almost 9 years and no album, and Sai been around for a while too and we’ve already heard some of their best material on mixtapes.

    on a mixtape note that new Uncle Murder….literally ridiculous, it’s like listening to the most violent movie ever, but with Green Lantern drops

    The thing about Saigon is that he brings freshness to the game. Just listen to his flow and delivery. And we can count on the album having dope beats, Just Blaze produces 10 of 15 tracks on it.
    I honestly believe it’d be good for hiphop if Sai blew up.

    ^In an interview he said he’d be on the show again, but the script isnt written yet. If his album does well he’ll become a huge star in the show, and if it bombs, well so will his career on the show..

    That’s true. Even the dudes like Big and Nas who had been on the scene for a minute weren’t hitting us in the head with 5 mixtapes a year in between Party and Bullshit/Live at The BBQ and their debut albums. Equally, emcees have gotta eat, and mixtapes pay the bills for dudes like Sai and Pap. It just means that by the time they albums hit, they’re old news.

    saigon is the truth so is pap, how can you get enough of good music, more mixtapes, the more renown they get, so theyd get a wider fan base, some would get tired of it, some might just be put on to it, i think mixtapes are a good look for up comin rappers
