I saw the Rosenberg interview with Ghost… that was dick riding. He doesn’t seem to even like Monch. Shit, he’s telling fans to “go buy the instrumental joint without Monch on it”.
Monch deserves his props though. And the fact that he ain’t released a joint in over 7 years is the reason why he’s ghostwriting for Diddy. A dude’s gotta eat.
December 28th, 2006 at 4:18 am
Freedomland was a wack movie
December 28th, 2006 at 4:29 am
Monch could’ve released he joint, he just took his time and got a better deal. Diddy even wanted to sign him but we all know what happens with careers over there. Unless you’re dead.
December 28th, 2006 at 6:28 am
When I think about Monch, it’s really surprised me how true ability CAN be resilient in this game…
There’s not many kids who dropped their first joints in 1991 that heads are still checkin’ for (I’m not anxiously awaiting the new Das EFX, UMC’s, Son of Bazerk, Naughty By Nature, Yo-Yo or 2nd II None albums. A New Main Source disc would be nice though!).
Add to that the fact that dude has been away for over 7 years, and it’s incredible to me that he’s still creating a buzz. My only fear is he won’t sell. But he don’t care, because “when he’s on the streets then, shit, it’s all good”.

December 28th, 2006 at 8:55 am
motivation, inspiration, aptness are these all things either you have or you dont? is there a way to tap into that source if its not apparent ?
And lets say there is a way to get that fire burning again, how do you maintain the discipline needed to carry out your plan and not lose focus.
just my ALIEN moment.

… isolate yourself … the obstacles that are presented on a recurring basis, can be too overwhelming when working in concert with the adjoining obstacles another’s prescence brings … i’ve been at my best when i’ve chosen to trim the social fat from my life, and live a solitary existence as best as possible … if there is noise and confusion present, you cant hear your inner conscience(soul) as it tries to guide you … i guess that’s why everyone achieves some level of untapped consciousness while they are incarcerated, because they are forced to face themselves through isolation … to achieve this while maintaining freedom in the real world is a more arduous task … but achievable nonetheless … meditation and prayer are underrated sources of inner energy … sounds corny and cliched, but it has stood the test of time as centuries of the worlds greatest minds and souls have prospered using these tactics …

^I believe many young, Brown people in Amerikkka have these traits within them at a young age. These use their current household and neighborhood as a guage to want more out of life. Many people who don’t have that natural desire are complacent and comfortable because there aren’t any threats to their well-being. Unfortunately, a lot of us are using the wrong tactics to fulfill the needs and wants that we desire and deserve. Hip hop is a prime example, rap music in particular. What once was used as a weapon to voice our struggles is now simply a hussle for monetary gain. In return, the youth is suffering because the economic state has gotten worse and they don’t have any positive influneces to attach to. But I digress.
Once that fire is burnin’, you almost have to have a capitialist mind state in order to maintain that discipline. Even if you would be comfortable with reaching short term goals, you still have to trick yourself into believing that your achievements aren’t enough. Most men in this world, especially the disgustingly wealthy ones, think in that manner. Of course, what is the primary guage of inspiration? The Power U. Look around, you even see it on a smaller scale: rims, expensive restaurants, myriands amounts of clothes, etc. But it doesn’t have to be women (which it shouldn’t be). I’m sure that there are many of us here who have family members that aren’t doin’ well. So maybe that can be your focus: to make sure all of your family is taken care of. Each individual has somethin’ that they would like to attain and that should be what keeps you going.

^Yup, after leavin’ the gov’t and then landin’ this gig, it made me realize that my mind will not allow me to be submissive to another if isn’t helpin’ reach my goals. Therefore I’m placin’ myself back into a Masonic institution (college) and will make moves from there. It sucks that we need that piece of paper to validate us, but I’m better off with it than without it. My only other option would be some illegal activities for monetary gain but I can’t afford to jeopordize (sp) my situtation.

Are you trying to start your own business or something like that?
^Yeah, I want to start my own PR firm for artists. So many good artists are poorly represented due to lack of interest by the industry or otherwise. But more importantly, I wanna learn how to gather resources for any type of venture that I might dive into: real estate (houses, parking lots/garages, etc). And that’s the reason for the major I’m choosin’. Of course, I’ll probably still take a 9 to 5 in the meantime (hopefully at a PR firm, entertainment/media company, etc), but that’s mostly to obtain the knowledge about the business so that I can eventually start my own.

I met this chick at my previous job, but she , well she was married (but separated at the time), and I was single. We connected personality wise, intelligence, beliefs, the whole nine. She actually was 5 years older than me. We became good friends, but shortly after :)
It was phucked up cause she wasn’t in a position to fully leave her situation and we had to break that off.
If only I could have met her earlier in life then who knows. That was the ONLY woman that ever made me think of marriage.
