I think Kay Slay need to fall back a bit. He trying to get more shine than Pap. That 1.5 mil is gonna get so swallowed up. Pap better go get some $100 beats cause when he finish paying back on that budget, he might be flat broke. He got a lot of vultures around him.

icebergs pm verse of the day, sponsered by foxy brown
In the black Camaro
Firm deep all my niggaz hail the blackest sparrow
Wallabee’s be the apparel
Through the darkest tunnel, I got visions of multimillions
in the biggest bundle, in the Lex pushed by my nigga Jungle
He money bags got Moet, Sean Don
Bundle of sixty-two, they ain’t got a clue what we about to do
My whole team we shittin hard like Czar
Sosa, Foxy Brown, Cormega, and Escobar
I keep a fat marquis piece, laced in all the illest snake skin
Armani sweaters Carolina Hebrera
Be The Firm baby, from BK to the ‘Bridge
My nigga Wiz, operation Firm Biz, so what the deal is
I keep a phat jew-el, sippin Crist-ies
Sittin on top of fifty grand in the Nautica Van, uhh!
We stay incogni’ like all them thug niggaz in Marcy
The Gods, they praise Allah with visions of Gandhi
Bet it on, my whole crew is Don Juan
On Cayman Island with a case of Cristal and Papa Chula spoke
Nigga with them Cubans that snort coke
Raw though, an ounce mixed wit leak that’s pure though
Flippin the bigger picture, the bigger nigga with the cheddar
Was mad dripper, he had a fuckin villa in Manilla
We got to flee to Panama, but wait it’s half and half
Keys is one and two-fifth, so how we flip
Thirty-two grams raw, chop it in half, get sixteen, double it times three
We got forty-eight, which mean a whole lot of cream
Divide the profit by four, subtract it by eight
We back to sixteen, now add the other two that ‘Mega bringin through
So let’s see, if we flip this other key
Then that’s more for me, mad coke and mad leak
Plus a five hundred, cut in half is two-fifty
Now triple that times three, we got three quarters of another key
The Firm baby, volume one uhh..

Just weeks after an on-air confrontation with Young Jeezy, female rapper and radio host Monie Love is no longer working at Philly’s 100.3 The Beat WPHI-FM.
Sources from the radio station confirmed to SOHH this morning that Monie (born Simone Wilson) is no longer employed there. Her departure from the station follows on the heels of her December 7 interview with Young Jeezy where the two argued vehemently over whether hip-hop is dead. During that conversation Jeezy also questioned

Bleek is just complacent. There’s nothing keeping him from having a nice little booty strip club song right now to get some paper and notoriety. If E40, and all these other old schoolers can come back and do it, I KNOW Bleek lazy ass can. He’s just happy where he is.

Papoose spits amazing verses from time to time. He also floods the market with mixtapes which feature some forgettable material. He has oversaturated himself at the underground level and is unmarketable to the masses. Will his record sell millions? No. A classic? Probably not. But I look forward to it. Hopefully he can pick some dope beats if he can afford them.

i dony know if thats actually it, but i heard it was. you never know about that shit tho, they switch it up alot. but that beat is kinda wack, it doesnt really sound like some hip hop shit, more like the theme to a war movie or somethin. but i think Dre been doin hot shit lately (i.e. NaS - Hustlers, Jay - Lost Ones & Trouble, Busta - Goldmine, etc). his production goes in cycles where he uses the same sounds and instruments for a while, then he switches it up.

Thanks for putting that in perspective. It’s amazing, I was just talking about SOME of these new posters. I think I read one of theses posters say that Monie was disrespectful in her interview and then tried to act like Monie ‘aint shit. That shit is hilarious. Monie was one of the first emcees of the female ilk to kick it on some know-the-ledge shit. Plus, she was very skilled technically. Jeezey wishes he had her lyrical ability. That guy was disrespectful by trying to ignore her status as someone who set the stage for him then he tried to dis London and if you know London, they have been down with the Hip Hop scene almost from the very beginning.

Happy Birthday green eyes! Hope wherever ur at the weathers better than where I’m at
@E,
Monie talked to Jeezy like a child with that “excuse me brother I been livin this for x amount of yrs” Cmon now we all understand commercialism changed the game and Hip Hop today is different and everyone (artists and fans) have been talkin about “what happened” for a LONG time. But ALOT of artists disagree with the statement not just Jeezy! Papoose said he disagrees with Nas that Hip Hop is dead. Styles says its in “critical condition” etc etc etc not everyone is straight up ready to agree with the statement “Hip Hop Is Dead” (not even NAs!) and Monie needs to accept that not everyone holds the same opinions as she does..her job was to do an interview not attack her guests.
There was no need for Monie to talk to Jeezy like that. And I’m curious how often she talked about hip Hip being dead on her show before Nas titled his album it..Her ass wouldn’t be hosting the show she was hosting if the genre was dead. Its all a matter of opinion and in my opinion she came at a guest in a way that wasn’t provoked or necessary.
And u saiid it best that Monie was ONE of the first. She wasnt the first and she wasnt the last.I use to listen to MANY female emcees from MC Lyte to Queen Latifah to Bahamadia but Monie in the middle was never one on my list, You might think she has a certain “status” and Jeezy didnt respect that but her current “status” is radio host and as a radio host u dont disrespect ur guests.
I never said “she aint shit” but I will say she aint tha shit!

The definition of what hip hop really is varies according to who you’re talking to, where they’re from, and when they were born. That’s why the phrase “Hip hop is dead” is very subjective. It’s not concrete.
Nas think hip hop is dead (and I happen to agree), because he came up around the breakdancing and graffiti, Jeezy on the other hand knows nothing about that, so he seriously disagrees.

Dance is still a part of hip hop (and most hate that it is!) and graf is too but most artist who were taggin trains then are doing commercial shit now (guess they arent hip hop anymore to some) u could say ppl who do shit like mixtape cover artwork or design tshirts and clothing etc are the new hip hop artists.

cause like it or not…give it about 8-10 yrs and all these platinum sellers T.I./fif/game/cheezy/ etc. will be considered hiphop legends/greats…..probly getting a 5mic ssource rating on the 4-6 album because there better then the newer guys or household names

Young Cheesy is a disgrace to hip Hop, He doesn’t do Hip Hop, He just raps. Theres a difference between the two. Anyone with some corny adlibs who moved a little work “like he claimed” can be a Young Jeezy, or a rapper for that matter. There are a hundred Young Jeezy’s out there today. TI, Trick Daddy, D4L, Franchise Boys, they are all versions of Young Cheesy.
Theres nothing that stands out about these Young chessies above, they don’t have lyricism, they don’t mix both conscious rap and crack rap together, its always about that white in their rhymes. They don’t talk about anything worthwhile in their lyrics. They don’t even know the essence of Hip Hop.
If you like Young Chessy’s album, then give all the credit to the producers. These days, in hip hop, its all about the beat. You have a nice club track, or some timbo track that’ll be hot in the clubs and you can put any wack rapper from Young Joc to Franchise Boys on it and it’ll be a nice track. With that being said I liked some songs off the Cheesy album only because of the beats.

Young Cheesy is a disgrace to hip Hop, He doesn’t do Hip Hop, He just raps. Theres a difference between the two. Anyone with some corny adlibs who moved a little work “like he claimed†can be a Young Jeezy, or a rapper for that matter.
With that being said I liked some songs off the Cheesy album only because of the beats.

and u sayin TI & Trick are both versions of Jeezy just shows that u dont respect or listen to any of those three artists therefore u can keep ur uninformed comments to yourself. Atleast listen to an artist before u diss them. I always do or I keep my comments to my damn self!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
You can categorize TI and Jeezy as the same rappers in a way. First off what do they rap about constantly?? Trapping. Moving that white. Name one song where these two chessy rappers have rapped about anything significant or worthwhile. Name one line from either of them off the top of ur head. Both TI and Jeezy have no lyrical skills, what seperates them from the other southern rappers like D4L? Expensive beats from Timberland and Pharell, thats it. I like TI, but hes overated. To place him in the Souths elite misrepresents the south. Everytime I hear whos top in the south as in Hip hop, I think of Little Brother, Luda, Scarface, Outkast, who are all some of my favorite artists. Then someone always adds TI. Cause what he sold a specific amount in a week? I mean Lil waynes a better lyricist than TI. (n/h)

^What a coincidence. I’m reading about the Firm reunion on sohh right now. I always wondered how Nas could squash it with Jay, but not Mega. But jay and nas is more on some business shit, nas and mega had a strong friendship. Never thought i’d see the day. I’m happy as hell!!!

You dont even listen to an artist and then claim their “a disgrace to hip Hopâ€
smh @ ur elistist mentality
==================================================
You are full of it. Some time ago you and I had a back and forth about the same exact thing. You were making comments about current KRS and PE projects without having heard any of it. Then I called you on the very same thing and you did not see a problem with it. Talk about someone being an elitist.
The problem I have with some of you who enjoy a different brand of Hip Hop from me is that you all are the one that are elitist. You’re comments range from, “if I want knowledge I can go read a book” to “it don’t have to always be about lyrics” to “they sell a lot of records.” Then when I express what I like and why I prefer it then I’m a hater or I’m a elitist. Why can’t we just enjoy different things. I really don’t care if you like Jeezey. I don’t and I think is music is wack. Simple and plain. Also, it’s crazy to me that you spend time defending people like Jeezey when there are much better rappers out there. I live in Atlanta and truth be told, I’m disgusted that people like stic.man, 4ize and Killa Mike don’t get the love in their own region. It’s terrible how people are robots and allow the media to tell them what to buy, like or defend.

…. Have yall seen the lead singer from Soul For Real lately? I know he was a kid when he first came out. But over the years I heard he got involved the streets, had a few run-ins with the law, and even started rappin’. You might’ve heard of him. I think he’s callin’ himself Jae Hood…

word to E from BK. Accepting Jeezy is basically saying its okay to like somebody with no musical talent. I’m into artists who strive to get better at what they do, work at their craft, show creativity. Money is important, but there has to be more to it than just coming into the game and grabing checks. Jeezy is talentless! Like E said there is much better in the south that deserve some shine.

@ Eskay
Since you have been known to give the latest and accurate posts, I was suprised you haven’t posted anything about UGK’s new song “Quit Hattin on The South” feautring Willie D of the Geto Boys.
So, since you guys are behind on this here are some of the lyrics:
Personally, I think to many people are once again misreading things and just assuming. And you know what happens when you assume don’t you, you make an ASS out of You. So this track (which by the way features Willie D of the Geto Boys) is more of a big “Fuck You†to the haters rather than a slap to The East as some have mistaken it to be. Yeah you got an not to happy Pimp C venting his frustrations in the beginning saying
“We know that Hip-Hop started in The East, then it moved out to The West and got a little better…but now it’s our time to shine nigga/ but since ya’ll niggas keep sayin’ we aint real Hip-Hop down here/ we don’t wanna be down with you bitch ass niggas/ you can stay up there with all that bullshit/ this Country Rap Tunes niggaâ€
Well damn now we got to be force to segregate the beauty of Hip-Hop because of the unnecessary hatred. I like what Bun B say’s and mark it as true
“I’ was giving rap all my time and my ends/ brought damn near every record that motherfuckers dropped/ West Coast gangster music, East Coast Hip-Hop/ Now It’s our time to shine, the tables have turned/ and motherfuckers aggravated cause we getting some burn/ this don’t go to everybody, just a few niggas tho/ (why’s that) probably cause they favorite rappers ain’t in controlâ€
That’s some TRILL as shit right there people. Truth be told in my years of living down here I’ve also saw the love people had for all forms of Hip-Hop East and West. Like it’s been said many times the red carpet has always been rolled out for whoever long as they did their thing. So why isn’t the love returned? I’ve noticed something about the East not to disrespect but there is a well of jealousy that’s always been there. Rather it be between each other, or as when the West started to rise the hate thrown there, now The South. I’m not going to sit here and y to convince you The South has dope MC because it’s in one ear out the other. I’m just saying this potential War is foolish.
Didn’t we learn our lessons after Big and Pac passed, no worse didn’t we learn our lessons as a people during the Civil Rights Movement. We’ve come to far to shit on everything Martin, Malcolm, Huey P, etc stood for to let it all die over something as silly as this. Were all brothers and sisters in love with this art-form, of course it won’t be expressed the same way as others do because of the fact it’s ART! And the expression/interpretation of it is in the eye of the beholder.
How can you hate the next man for feeling compelled to express himself? You don’t here any bickering about where Blues or Rock-N-Roll started. Why is it necessary to hate on the next dude for doing them. Sure people our just going to come in here on some “Fuck The South†or “Fuck The East†B.S. But why can’t we just be on some love Hip-Hop shit. You got dudes in the ATL taking Nas comments all wrong cause their frustrated with the lack of respect from others. You got dudes from N.Y. shitting on the South becase
not appealing to what the public is craving right now.
You want a war people, then war with the Fans. War with yourselves for not being creative and strapping Hip-Hop in a stagnant vibe. The Fans are feeling the Snap b.s. because it’s different from the norm. I’m not saying well okay East go snap (or do the Chicken Noodle Soup). I’m saying take back your beloved Hip-Hop by making some great Hip-Hop music. Warring with each other won’t solve shit, it only adds to the problem. Were pushing ourselves back hundreds of years with the stupid hate.
“They saying we can’t rap, and they questioning or intellect….It’s some trash in The South but I promise you.
From the East to The West some of ya’ll garbage to†- Willie
“Ya’ll think we came here to play, we came here to stay/ ya’ll shoulda listen to Andre we got something to say†- Pimp C
The ignorance is Fucking Outstanding (Christian Bale voice from ‘Harsh Times’), to go so far and call other stupid…man I’m not even going to get into that. Just one quick question…Where is Dr. Martin Luther King from? It’s funny how all the sudden Ludacris can’t rap, T.I. can’t rap, Outkast can’t rap, Killer Mike can’t rap, Chamillionaire can’t rap, etc all because there Southern Artist. Look when Andre 3000 accepted the award at The Source awards in the midst of the East vs West mess he said “The South has something to say.†Of course it’s not the same thing or way everyone else is saying it but how can you take away the right to say it? The so-called War is BULLSHIT! instead of dividing ourselves we need to unite and keep this thing moving. So Quit Hating The South, East, West And Midwest and LOVE HIP-HOP!!!
