Yea most of Suge’s deals probably wouldnt hold up in court because they were obtained by force, Irv was one of the first to get a label deal thru Universal and distribution thru DJ. deals like his were un heard of at the time. Irv brought DMX, Jarule, and Rocafella to DJ, Irv/Dame never really needed DJ for shit, which is why in earlier years you’d see them screamin on Dj executives.
The main obvious difference between the two tho is Suge started Death Row as a label..with distribution from Interscope and The Inc was basicaly a “label deal”..so in essence you are right…but starting your own label is easier than going to the man and saying..”give me a label..and distribution” than it is to say “I have a label..give me some distribution”…which is comparable to what niggaz like Jim Jones does now (Koch)

I’ve been a Dilla fan for a minute..I think I 1st found out about him from Slum Village days. Then I got into listening 2 his instrumentals…because that’s what he does, right? He is a big inspiration for my music. No I’m not the type to try and clone what he has done for real Hip-Hop, real MUSIC period. But, I won’t forget about what he means to hip-hop. I’m from the South, but I still got love for his music. You never forgotten Dilla Dawg. The video was a good kind of interesting. 1st video I ever seen with Dilla..and it made my day.
