… say what you want about *Skateboard P*, but that dude creates the most unique and original hiphop soundscapes when he works with Malice and Pusha T … the beats on “Lord Willing†and “HHNF†are perfect examples of how less can be more when it comes to beat making …
^That’s what I’ve been sayin’ on here for a minute but mofos act like P didn’t help Usher in the late 90′s/early 00′s. I think people tend to give him less credit because he’s a producer who also chose to rap and he skateboards. Way before the Neps had a name they were makin’ some ill ass beats. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few joints that I’ve heard like, “ok, that shit was wack”, but in general he’s been consistent. Would I want a whole album from him as a rapper? No. But that doesn’t take away from it.

This 4th quarter was so highly anticipated, so far, it’s been a big letdown for rap music. No one has really lived up to half of the hype. I don’t think hip-hop is dead. I just think it’s gonna go underground. The mainstream America is kinda of tired of ex-convict rap which is like 90% today ( I sold keys, I blast my guns…) . In the long run, it’s probably best for the genre. Personally, I used to buy approx $50-75 a month in rap. The last CD i bought was Lupe Fiasco and Remy Martin. I don’t even download most of this crap nowadays. God knows, the mixtape market has just been bastardized.

I’ve been visiting this site for a while & I noticed one thing……….y’all been drinking that same haterade that Benzino was drinking for years. The Re-up is a mixtape turned LP. How many artists have a mixtape debut at #2 on the charts? Instead of waiting for the death of the Shady/Aftermath dynasty, y’all should be trying to help make sense of the mess over there at the Roc/Def Jam. Unhappy, beefing artists, old rappers trying to be the king when they past their prime, and a host of other failed projects. But keep doing what y’all do best………….praising old man Jigga (80% dip in LP sales) and lame ass game (LP might not even be in the top ten at this point).

lil Lame is gay.. i cant even talk about that roach. But for your information, i favor HIP HOP period. No matter where it comes from. I already mentioned Luda and he is HIP HOP and he is from the south. Rass Kass is HIP HOP and he is from the west. Kardinal Official is from the North (canada) and he his HIP HOP.
HIP HOP is in London, Africa, China and all over the world. Hip Hop is what i stand for and nothin else. HIP HOP.. u understand me now?

Talk about being selective bias Eskay, you mention how Em and 50 aint number 1 meanwhile they were a close second by selling over 300, 000 copies behind Ciara. So stop being a hypocrite and get on your shit and put up some factual points.

^Skee I watched the video but only for a few seconds. I grew up on hip hop so I don’t need a recap but the track playing is nice.
I personally don’t understand how any true fan of hip hop couldnt appreciate Lil Wayne’s music. His music is dense and hes constantly puttin out new shit. Waynes been a millionaire for over a decade if he truly didnt love the music and his craft he would have faded away a long time ago. I never liked Em for the same reason alot of ppl I know dont like Wayne (voice/flow) but I never called Em cheesy names or said he was “polluting the airwaves” or didnt have talent. I just didnt listen to him or buy his music.
I know u said u like Outkast and if Andre is one of ur favoriite rappers then Wayne is your favorite rappers rapper. U mad?

For real, i can not talk about Lil Lame, the roach doesnt even deserve 2 sentences from me.
Luda. ScarFace, OutKast, Trick Daddy and Bun B. I can mess with them dudes. I even like Juvenile. The rest of the mainstream south never had a verse worth repeating. I aint got nothin against TI, cuz i seen him in NY all by himseld checkin out NY underground acts like the Boot Camp clik about a month ago. So he gets some respect from me, but lyrically he is overrated as well.
