The average person who buys CD’s doesn’t even anything about Nas “allegedly getting at South” or Young Jeezy taking shots at Nas….. They fucking don’t know shit about all that stuff… They listen to the radio…

^^true. i’m buying the album because i’m a nas fan and i think the album is a really good album. however, i know several people who really believe nas was going at the south and don’t want to cop the album based off that alone. even when i tell people that he’s said in multiple interviews that he wasn’t singling out the south, nobody listens and they aren’t internet heads like me so they haven’t read the online interviews. still, i live in atlanta so all people here realize is that both jeezy and tip said something about nas and that’s all they care about. tip is the king of the south and jeezy gets respected by niggas down here. the funny thing is that people down here are like “man nas was going at the south, he’s just a new yorker so he’s trying to be slick about it.”

^From the time Nas named his album HHID you knew he was risking sales. I respect him for that. Not too many would take that risk. With the way some in the south is confused over what he’s saying, his album will probably brick in that region. They got just over a week to catch on to the message.
